  1. :) i used NCERT books too. am from CBSE board and studied in Kendriya Vidyalaya Range Hills. what about you
  2. Its really great to get these inputs from someone who scored a perfect 1600. cant thank you enough
  3. you don't even have to multiply the whole thing. just do 4 * 6(that's the unit's place of 896) = 24 so the triangle is 4. that makes the [] = unit's place of (6+4) = 0;
  4. hey grefreak, since you mentioned it now i think its possible that the question asked for EXACT 60 heads and not at least 60 heads. ya that will make it a lot simpler P.S. My friend got this question in the test and she couldn't answer it. so i asked her again so she says she is not 100% sure about the question. She thinks it was for "At least" but she is not sure.
  5. i am from CBSC board but i am confused what does it has to do with the question?
  6. thanks for posting chuck how did you prepare yourself for reading comprehensions? where can I find the difficult reading comprehension passages that will be tested on the actual test?
  7. If a fair coin is tossed a 100 times what is the probability that at least 60 outcomes will be head?
  8. appreciate your effort in writing the whole thing the second time.[clap] for the verbal section i feel just the Word Smart is no way sufficient. You getting a perfect score just by studying that is pretty extraordinary. You probably had a superb vocabulary to begin with. If you referred other word lists please share which because i am sort of in a dilemma how many words should be sufficient. Secondly my target is not an 800. I am targeting a 500+ score in English. In maths though I am going for a 800. Tell me is it possible to get an 800 even if you get a question wrong in the later part of the test? What are your tips on improving the reading comprehension. How do you solve an RC? Do you read the whole passage first or you skim through it and go back to the passage later for each question. How many passages did you get in the test and where can one find the passages of matching difficulty level for practice. god bless pranjal
  9. barrons word list is more than enough, if u can finish it. and ielts and gre are very very different. so take a practice test on powerprep or online princeton or anything that will show you where you stand so that you can work from there. cheers
  10. Hey I am taking the test on 23rd Nov and i am practicing Reading comprehensions from the big book. I find most of the passages easy and easily get the right answers but it still remains the most feared section among test takers. Is the difficulty level of RC in actual test on par with Big Book or not? If not please suggest websites or books where one can find passages as difficult as in the actual GRE. P.S. My friend took the test about a month ago and he got first 12 questions RCs. 3 Passages one after another and two of them were 120 line passages. Have any of you faced anything similar? He did well to score 650 in verbal.
  11. can you all also post the date that you took the real GRE test. thanks

  14. hi everyone can anyone enlighten on why Canada is not as popular as USA amongst international students (esp Indian)? Canada has flexible laws for PR and the tuition fees is lower compared to USA. Plenty of good universities as well. I am going to apply in 7 or 8 canadian universities and am i overlooking some disadvantages of canada? What are the problems with Canada? P.S. I am sorry if this is not the right place to post this question but i really need help urgently
