Hello everyone, Please evaluate my profile for Masters in CS in US universities. Listed below is my profile along with my areas of interest and tentative list of colleges. 10th: 82% (CBSE) 12th: 87.2 (CBSE) B.Tech: 9.26/10.0 (IIIT-Allahabad, 3rd in class of 90) TOEFL: 106 GRE: 1400 (Q:800 + V:600), AWA: 3.0 :((( Work Experience: 2 years (by the time i join masters) at Yahoo! R&D Center, Bangalore Internships: 1) Harish Chandra Research Institute (2 months) 2) IIT-Chennai (2 months) 3) EPFL-Lausanne (6 months) 4) IISc (2 months as of now... working along with my office) Also, junior member at some Digital Media Interest Group at my college Publications: 2 (IEEE international conf), 1 (national conf), 1 (some international conf), 1 (inderscience journal... submitted) -> total:5 Recos 1 from college Prof (Good) 1 from company Manager (Good) 1 from EPFL Prof (OK..might be Good) Extra-curricular: Normal (have worked with few NGOs too) Area of Interest Distributed Systems, Networks Tentative List (MSCS) AMBITIOUS: 1) Stanford 2) University of Toronto 3) UIUC 4) Cornell Univeristy 5) UT Austin 6) University of Waterloo 7) ETH, Zurich 8) CMU - INI 9) University of Oxford (UK) Do you think my low GRE and TOEFL score will pull me down to get any good univ at US... as i clearly does not clear the cut-off for AWA and TOEFL for univs like stanford? Please give me your thoughts on this list. Please suggest universities where I have fair chances, and should be in the list. Also, can I consider few universities for direct PhD (after bachelors)?
