    cpje

Hey House PharmD, refer to the thread passed CPJE but cannot pass NAPLEX you can find information on NAPLEX preparation that I and other users have shared. Not about IV compatibility but I guess for now, focus on NAPLEX - One step at a time :santa: Good luck

    cpje

Hey west coast, did you get your license yet? :santa: My CPJE is next wednesday (12/22), and I don't know if i really need the Weissman book (A Guide to California Community Pharmacy Law 7th Edition), with the holidays around the corner and the shipping craze, i don't think it will get to New York from Cali on time for me to study!!! I have law sheets from Pronto Pass but i don't know if that's going to be enough. Do you guys think i should buy it? I don't know anything about California law. I keep reading these comments on how it barely has law questions and it's mostly clinical. I'm going crazy! :wallbash: Any pointers from those who took the CPJE already?
  6. Hey, Just read the whole APhA Book 2 weeks before the test and be really good with your calculations. Courses are a waste of money. You really do not need them. They are "good" because everybody passes Naplex in the end and happened to take the course. The test really isn't so hard. ;) I want to stress Calculations, maybe some statistics, and brand/generic! Good LUCK!
  7. I took the MPJE for PA and passed! now it's time to share the joy. :D You get exactly what they would normally sent you, the original: 1) Pronto Pass Cards (Federal law). This comprises of 63 cards. Guarantee: Absolutely no bending or scratches or nonsense. I knew I wanted to re-sell it so i took care of them. 99% NEW 2) Pennsylvania State Law questions and answers. 99% NEW and COMPLETE as well 3) You also get my own [not so professional] self-made colored index cards. They are not the prettiest but were for myself. I don't need them anymore. Really were spot on for the test. I made them as I read the two books sent to me by the Board (Pharmacy Act and Ch. 49) and the Federal book I got from school THESE ARE FREE! you may choose to study them as well or not. But I'll send them because i know you will take a look at them! ;) PRICE: $95 (First class mail shipping included) I will send it using USPS (allow 3-4 days) We can arrange payment via e-mail as well. Or we can even meet face-to-face in Manhattan or Brooklyn, NY so you can see for yourself that they are like new. No gimmicks. But would still be $95. CPJE advice

I found this website selling it: $52 A Guide to California Community Pharmacy Law
  9. nltv07, I do not know how to convert morphine to fentanyl...if you get the answer can you share it here as well? thanks!
  10. Oh, thank you guys, I sincerely apologize for taking this long, I did not receive any notifications about new posts. I want to start by saying that I am officially a licensed pharmacist in Pennsylvania as of today! I am taking the CPJE too because I am seeking double licensure. Don't ask me why. Long story... But I will be taking the CPJE this month... 104 is not the greatest score but I think it's pretty good given the level of my self-diagnosed ADD (No 'H') and the materials I used for my preparation aka 2 used books from peers. I did not study statistics but there were probably 2 questions there, it was quite traumatizing, so I don't remember well. I cannot say what the questions were but I would NOT focus on statistics (none of my 8 friends did either and we all passed) I believe that if you had your rotations and did about 5 Journal clubs, will be enough. If you must study statistics to feel more secure, I would go for the obvious = the basic concepts (like intention to treat, what the p value means...all that good stuff), but i wouldn't spend time practicing calculations like RR and all the bad stuff ;). sms123, yea, the book has a LOT and i skipped a few chapters in the begining. But I strongly recommend reading it in 2 weeks worth, and definitely calculations/conversions. you know that chapter of calculations on the book? attack it! you'll hate it....but you'll love it in the end  My prof kept saying: Remember that as you progress through the test, if you keep getting wrong answers, it'll throw you easy questions. If you keep getting them right, you'll keep getting hard ones given you're a genius. So obviously every test will be different. My post is to share my own experience, and is in no means a guideline to study for the NAPLEX. Good luck, the anxiety will be there and no one will take it away until you read that coveted letter. So suck it up and soon, you'll be jumping like I did! :D
  11. Oops, i meant, HANDS DOWN Today I got my NAPLEX Score and i got 104 (most beautiful letter I've gotten so far from the Cali board). I ONLY studied from the APhA review book and used the Lange Q&A CD-ROM, no courses, no ProntoPass, and 6 months after I graduated = forgot everything... You really should read this whole book, took me 2 weeks (with breaks), and do it before the test. You already know what the test looks like. Practice calculations! I personally would not take a course with jam packed stuff cuz either way, you're gonna go home, sit, and study on your own...youre really only paying for the materials... Thats just my opinion, I hope whatever you choose, will help you pass it once and for all...:grad: What did you use to study for the CPJE?
  12. Wow, I am also planning to take the CPJE next month, how did you pass it and not pass Naplex??!?!?!?!?! The CPJE is for what i hear, uberdifficult (especially for out of California graduates like me). I think ProntoPass is your best bet, They even say that if you fail, mail them your results and you'll get your money back. So you will be investing smart! (Morris is too expensive and not worth the $ i hear). AphA review book is great too. Good LUCK!
