Jobs in the Aerospace Engineering field are most definitely there. Check out the BE Aerospace Careers page for one example.

I would imagine that software engineering is a pretty secure career path as the internet won't be going away any time soon and it's only expanding more and more.

You should check out Akamai, they have jobs worldwide. If you're in India I think they have positions in Bangalore but if not I'm sure there's a location near enough to you. Check out their jobs board at Akamai jobs. It sounds like your degree maj/min would be legit.
