  1. Typical UCDD graduate, not even a sense of direction...:dejected:
  2. You have a better profile than you realise, beware that this forum tends to apply more to the US undergrad system and grading scale. LSE will be a walk in for you (especially with that Som******** writing a LoR for you) but is pure poor value for money. You should also bear in mind what Sca**** likely told you about the good reputation our alma mater has in the US, it is even more so in the UK. Had you applied direct from undergrad, you may not have needed to do an M.Sc. but after two years away from the ivory tower you will surely need one.
  3. You have got to be kidding. Trinity is far from second tier, and far from your reach!
  4. Guys, check out CROUS residences (In France, there is a rent subsidy called CAF, even on student residences so you should be able to rent a place in Toulouse for around €200 per month!). Indeed, Aude should have recommended them to you. Use Google translate if you don't yet know French: Logement | Le Crous Toulouse JerseyGuy: it will be impossible to get a student loan in France without a French gaurantor. In fact, it will be impossible to find a place to rent other than CROUS without a gaurantor! All of those diplomatic scholarships have dissapeared with the ongoing crisis! Bye Bye middle-class socialism....
  5. It seems like you are persuading yourself to take Toulouse in the information you provide in the beginning. But then the second paragraph indicates that you're set on the US. If the US is where you really want to be, then go to the US. Life is short, and so are funds, it's unethical to take Eiffel funds (plus substantial French government subsidies on fees) only to then take off.
  6. If that is so, then you should definately (and I presume you already have) e-mail them telling them that you will definitely take up a place if you get funding. If you applied at beginning of February, I'm afraid you have missed the Eiffel scholarship deadline. Your last hope is a consortium scholarship which I believe only covers/reduces fees... Congratulations on the admit and, naturally, I hope we end up as colleagues!
  7. Hi Pmar, I'm also a newbie! I've applied to QEM at the end of february but have heard nothing yet. I'm an EU applicant and I've seen posts on TM which indicate that I shouldn't expect to hear anything until the end of may. Have you been admitted? If so, when did you complete your application? and are you an EU applicant? As far as I am aware the Erasmus Mundus funding has been withdrawn this year (probably the winner's curse as the number of applicants had grown exponentially for this course in its short life of 5 years: last year they had 700 applicants for approximately 40 places!)
