  1. “It is difficult for people to achieve professional success without sacrificing important aspects of a fulfilling personal life.” Discuss the extent to which you agree or disagree with the opinion stated above. Support your views with reasons and/or examples from your own experience, observations or reading. The success of a person depends on a variety of factors. There are those who claim that such person could have everything he or she wants. However, as I shall argue, successful people more likely have to give up some of their wills to achieve others. Though it is true that a good arrangement could help people save time to manage more things, we should also bear in mind that to reach the greatness in some fields costs years or even tens years. Moreover, during the period, people are usually terribly busy. There are some rare occasions people could achieve success by timing well, but the majority becomes fail or just in the middle. As a result, time is one of the most common elements that successful people have to sacrifice. Furthermore, one cannot deny that successful people usually put their mind on their careers over their families even they treasure their family much. Take Ho Chi Minh as an example who led Vietnamese Revolution to succeed. Although he was admired by his people, he never got married. According to a document, he decided to live on his own because he thought he could not treat his own family well when he devoted his life for the revolution. Finally, in many cases, the private is exchanged for success. It is common in politics and entertainment where the most successful people are celebrated people. Clearly, the more success they get, the more the public wants to know about them. Perhaps, David Beckham feels annoy when people search all his private information, but it did not happen when he was less famous. In another case, Bill Clinton was considered successful as the President of the United States. However, his affair with Monica Lewis, which was not relevant to the job he undertook, was almost everyone’s concern at this time. In a nutshell, despite the pleasure of success, people who want to achieve it have to let go several things that they want.
