  1. Thank you for the very useful website. Following your suggestion I would like to inform test takers of another good source of TOEFL speaking samples and practices: TOEFL Speaking Practice and Sample Also there are more useful stuff in the other pages of this website.
  2. Among all four sections of the iBT TOEFL test I found Listening section the hardest. And reviewing all the good books in this area I found Cambridge having lots of very similar samples. Also I gathered good samples in my website too. Stop by and say Hi ;) [GRATUITOUS LINK REMOVED] Good luck!
  3. Knowing idioms is not a must in case of iBT TOEFL, however, I suppose that anybody with a basic knowledge of English must have a good grasp of the idioms. That is why I recommend you this book: 101 American English Idioms : Understanding and Speaking English Like an American Of course there are lots of other books that you can buy and use them as a self-study source. Good Luck! and be careful! You never know what appears as a question until the time that you are taking the test. which is too late to go back. So be ready in every and each way and put all your worries aside.
  4. Dear Fahad, If you want to make it over 100 in iBT TOEFL, I just recommend you to go through more books, of course if you have enough time. I name 3 books in 3 different levels that will help you. 1- Basic Level: Longman Preparation Course for the TOEFL Test 2- Intermediate Level: BARRON'S TOEFL iBT 3- Advanced: Cambridge Preparation To TOEFL and of course my own website as an online source [sEE MY SIGNATURE OR PROFILE] Anyhow, I think that one source and it be the official guide is not good enough for iBT TOEFL. If you have any other question regarding this matter please feel free to ask. Good luck!
  5. Hi my friends, I think Delta is a much much tougher book regarding iBT TOEFL. But lets say that according to my own experience I found Cambridge a more helpful and similar to the real test. Good Luck!
  6. Hi, I think you just need to take some TOEFL sample tests to remember the needed skills for iBT TOEFL test. You can find sample tests and practices online, easily. [EDIT] About the vocabulary I just recommend you the 504 essential words for TOEFL which is a very popular book. You just need to check and see how many of the words are new to you and just work on those words. As we all know the vocabularies in TOEFL test are not that sophisticated. Good luck!
  7. There are some specific strategies for reading section of iBT TOEFL. [EDIT] What i did was that i scanned the reading passage very fast mostly only the first sentence of each paragraph + first and last lines of the whole passage. In this method I could just understand what is it all about and after that I went through questions one by one and found the best answer inside the passage by referring to it. anyhow, anybody has his/her own strategy although there are some certain rules about each form of the question. EDIT
  8. As other fellows just mentioned, note taking in IBT TOEFL test is allowed. But you should be very careful about that because during the note taking you may lose your concentration on important stuff that is mentioned in the listening. I recommend you to have a very brief and short style, like abbreviation, so that you don't lose your concentration. Writing the whole words and phrases is kinda distracting.
