I think as long as you sbumitted online application on time and send your official transcript now, you will be fine. It normally takes them a few days to sort out all your materials and not-too-late arrivals will be ok.
I finished my thesis this semester and my professors think it is honor eligible. So, I need to continue writing the honor my thesis next semester. How should I tell schools that I am invited to write honor thesis for my economics major? Should I put that in my CV like "Thesis (Honor In Progress): title of my thesis."???
Thanks a lot!
If my GPA is totally over 3.75, I will not be worried about it. Therefore, my question is that will the grades in lower level math hurt my application significantly or good grades in higher level math will offset the negative effect? Thanks a lot!
Hi,
I am applying PhD programs and I have a concern about my math grades. I got B in Calc III and B+ in Linear Algebra (both are 200 level courses). But I got A- in Advanced Calculus I (Real Analysis) and A in Prob/Stats I&II (it is calc-based) and A- in Markov Chain Sample Method.
I am wondering if my grades is lower level math will hurt or grades in upper math will offset this effect?
Thanks guys!
US NEWS ranks CMU as top 20 and others rank it as 50-60.
It is hard to tell how good the program is with these rankings.
Is there someone familiar with the program there?
I have seen different ranks of economics department from the following website and some schools vary a lot in different rankings!
Does anyone know which would be more accurate?

As far as I know, linear algebra, multivariable calculus, mathematical prob/stats, real analysis are all essential if u wanna get into some top programs.
