    We Got 50 At Last!!!

Dear aleena, Don't worry about the September TSE score, b'cos each and every TSE exam is separate. If u passed one exam, that score will be taken into ur file. The next score does not erase ur previous score. The board will need just one passing score right?. Good luck:).
  2. Hey Sharon, Congratulations!! [clap] [clap] [clap] Really happy for u. Hoping u'll be able to start ur internship soon.:) Good luck on all ur future endeavours!
  3. Hey Ron, Merrium Webster online dictionary will help u to check the correct pronunciation of words. You just have to type the word and "GO", and then click on the red audio button that appears next to it. Listen to the pronunciation and repeat several times if required. http://www.m-w.com/ Keep up ur hopes. God bless.
  4. Try this aamer:) http://www.www.urch.com/forums/showthread.php?p=191975#post191975 Good luck!
  5. Hi pooja, u have one more month left right? Hope u will get EE# within that time. Another thing to do will be, u can call the NABP customer service and ask if u may send ur TOEFL score now, tell them that u have already send the application and have not received the EE# yet. Then u can send the TOEFL score to NABP before it expires, NABP will keep it in ur file. Try to confirm with customer service what to do. Good luck:).
  6. Read the experience of one of my friends...though by mistake, she had to send the rescore request for the same test twice, and actually ETS rescored it twice, and she got 50 on the second rescore for the same test.. However, she sent the second rescore request a month after sending the first rescore request since didn't hear from ETS. i.e, before she got the result of the first rescore. http://www.www.urch.com/forums/showthread.php?t=27059 It's upto u to decide. ETS will be happy to get the money for rescore.

  8. Congratulations ramalla!!:)
  9. To new testtakers: In case you may not have noticed, some of the links above, like points 4, 5 & 6 have the audio of words, phrases and simple conversations in English. Listening to them and repeating after them about 30min a day may help to improve your English pronunciation and intonation as well as reduce mother tongue accent:). Good luck:tup: .

    please help me

I think going through a lot of topics, and practising to say answers like TSE opinion questions, in 60 seconds will help to improve this. The best way would be to take a list of TOEFL/TWE 185 Essay topics, and try to answer at least 20 of them a day for two weeks time. Once u try answering some of them, u will get an idea how to answer opinion questions quickly. First find how many sentences you can say clearly at a normal pace of speaking(not too fast, not too slow) without pausing too much for thinking. When u read and hear the opinion question, listen attentively, and understand what is being asked. While u hear it, decide what opinion u are going to give, and think of 2-3 points why u support it (you can increase thinking capability by answering opinion questions everyday, as I mentioned before) As soon as you hear the beep for answering the question, try to begin speaking.... First sentence- Introduction-say your opinion or preference, include words from question. 3-4 simple sentences, to say 2-3 points why u prefer/ 2-3 advantages and disadvantages. Last sentence-Conclude strongly by stating your preference again/ include words from question to conclude. If you follow a simple format like this while you practice for the test with questions, you will get used to it, and can improve, I believe. (It worked for me). Good luck.

    TSE test booklet

Hey lanaa. You will have the testbooklet all along the test. The flowchart also is in the testbooklet, and so is the picture and graph too (they will not disappear after the time given to look at them). In the test booklet, which can be opened as soon as the voice on the phone tells you to, you can see the written text of all that u hear on the phone, including instructions, 3 warm up questions, and all 9 test questions in order...it is a test booklet of about 6 sheets, if I remember it right. You are allowed to write on test booklet. The only text that does not appear on test booklet are: - The complaint by customer in Qs 8 - The conversation by colleagues in Qs. 9 This is explained in the sample TSE questions given in ETS website...the portion given in the rectangle on ETS website sample TSE questions for question 8 & 9 are not typed in the test booklet given to us. So what u should do is, you should listen attentively when u hear the complaint and conversation, and note down important info in your test booklet. For example, when u listen to the conversation between colleagues in the flow chart question, you may note down points like date or time, venue etc beside the flowchart in your test booklet. The supervisor will take your testbooklet after the test. Hope it's clear for u now. Good luck:)

Hi :), Try to follow these steps to find the thread after accessing Bruno forums: Go to http://www.jdacademy.com/tse/abouttse.html Sign in and go to Forums Then go to Online TSE Class Forum Then go to TSE Forum Demo Then find the thread The Rule of 50 & TSE Video Then u can see the post TSE Video 1 There u can see a small window where the online class appears. You may have to download Java on ur computer to access the video. Also, it may take some time to download depending upon internet connection speed. Make sure the speakers on computer are on. Needs a li'l patience! But it's worth it;) You can view Bruno Hill's one hour class. After The Rule of 50 & TSE Video, there are other threads like, Video practice Test-1 -where u can actually take a practice test for TSE including warm up questions and all 9 questions, along with the beeps and all.:) Question 9 Video Practice Question 8 Video Practice and many other threads which u may wanna check out and utilise. Hope now you'll be able to view the video. Thanks to Mr. Bruno Hill for providing these highly informative materials. Good luck:tup:
  16. Hey Nov:) Just the copies of all the documents are fine for H1B. School trancripts would be just the copies of your marklists, degree certificate, etc. Good luck:tup: . Hi abcpharm:) , Most retail chain recruiters may ask for FPGEC certification for H1B sponsorship...their company policy. You're lucky if u can find a recruiter/supervisor who agrees to sponsor H1B without FPGEC....especially in places where they urgently require pharmacists, in states which don't require TSE-50 for licensure. Good luck.

  18. Hi salvation888:) Understand one thing first. 2005 fiscal year for H1B has started on October 2004. 2006 H1B fiscal year starts from October 2005. For the 65,000 quota for H1B 2006 fiscal year, applications are being taken since April 2005. The 20,000 H1B quota for 2005 fiscal year that is being taken now is only for F1 candidates in US. If u apply next April for H1B, it might come under 2007 fiscal year for which the starting date is Oct.2006. Anyway, it seems this year, the H1 quota for this October still has seats left. So if u wanna apply for 2006 quota, try to find a recruiter of retail pharmacy chain and they will file the H1 for u. I know all this is confusing...I too was confused at first:) Usually regular H1B might take about 30-90 days for approval. Premium processing might take about 2 weeks or upward for approval. However, for the 65,000 H1 quota that is being filed now, even if u get the approvalat an earlier date, the starting date for the visa will be only from Oct 2005. Hope u understood now...
  19. Applications for H1B 2006 fiscal year have started to be accepted since April 2005. The time taken for approval depends on the service center, also whether it's regular or premium processing. Premium processing visa maybe approved within 2 wks. Regular processing may take from one month upwards. Good luck.

  21. You will get SSN after u get H1Bvisa approval. I think you can get SSN from the effective date of H1B. Not before that.
  22. It depends on which state u are planning to start internship. Check out the State Board of Pharmacy rules in your state.
  23. Hi eagerpharmacist, I'm not too experienced on this..but... Has ur sponsor applied for H1B on ur behalf? I guess the start date for that H1b will be Oct.2005. That means, ur FL intern license will be expired by that time, right? I'd suggest u call up FL board and ask them what can be done. I dunno much about FL. To get SSN, u should have a visa where u are eligible to work in US, eg., H1B. But if u enquire with FL board, u may find if they have other options. I don't think u can work before getting visa approval. Good luck.
  24. Hi salvation888, If u need H1B visa, u should contact recruiters of different pharmacy retail chains, and enquire with them. Most of the recruiters ask for FPGEE certificate before filing H1B application. Those who don't have work permit currently, require a valid visa with work permit, to start internship. You should also have some idea which states u are gonna look for internship positions. Some recruiters like Walgreen's prefer those candidates, who opt for their featured markets where there are lotsa vacancies. Different states have different rules for starting internship. Some states do not require intern license, some states do. The H1 quota for 2005 H1B was over by Sept 2004. However, the H1 quota for 2006 fiscal year is not over yet. This quota is for those who can start working in 2006 fiscal year which starts in 2005 October or later. Walgreen's international pharmacist resources: http://www.walgreens.com/about/care...nalpharm1.jsp#1 http://www.walgreens.com/about/care...tionalpharm.jsp http://www.walgreens.com/about/care...cy/featured.jsp CVS pharmacy http://www.cvs.com/corpInfo/careers...cy_contact.html Rite Aid pharmacy http://www.riteaid.com/careers/contact_hr.php It will take time to receive replies, so we need a lot of patience. Good Luck:tup: !
