  1. Congratulations Shaila, Cheesecake, _ no luck yet in finding internship position, however, Currently very busy with my current job & it preventing me from actively looking for internship position.
  2. Hi Shaila, No Luck yet!. Also I have to wait until the end of the March as CT board meeting is scheduled for March 28th on which I have to have personal appearance before board as required for FPGEC holder for intern license in CT. I am hopeful that you will get your FPGEC in mid feb. How about your internship?
  3. Hi Shaila. Thats great. I think you will get your FPGEC in 3-5 weeks.
  4. Congratulations fpgeepharma, My name also appeared on certified list PPAD NABP. Please let us know you quest to internship & NAPLEX. Thank you.
  5. Thank you for replying. I live in NV, but my family is in CT, and thus looking to move to CT. So do I have to personally appear before commission or can it be done by telephone? How long did it take for you to get intern license after appearing before commission? Thank you
  6. Hi fpgeepharma, I am eagerly waiting for it, but so far nothing. I haven't called NABP since Dec 2011, and my letter mail box is empty as I am regularly checking it. Need to find out when FPGEC committee meets and whether they are meeting in Jan 2012. Generally, someone in committee (Chair) needs to move the motion for approval of certificates of eligible candidates and somebody from the committee needs to second it. For this, committee needs to meet. And to happen all this , we have wait 8-10 weeks. Until then we wont be getting our certificates.
  7. My guess is that you may get 26 if your repossess to other 5 questions (other Q 5) were of high toefl rubric standards. You need average score of 20/24 from all scorers from all questions. Responses need to be intelligent, accurate, with higher level of grammar & vocabulary, and scorer should understand what are you saying. Partially incomplete response generally does not affect score unless response wasn't fully developed, inaccurate with lack of higher vocabulary & grammar, and problems with pronunciation were evident. No one else can judge it unless they personally hear it. Good luck, I hope you get 26.
  8. Hi Shaila, Congratulations for TOEFL and FPGEE, waiting is frustrating. For my file, I think it took around 4 weeks. However it could be different for different time and month of the year depending on application loads (FPGEC & FPGEE) and how often committee seats. It seems that files are put for review on fridays and certifcates are also mailed on fridays. One of my friend got everything done (from TOEFL score report to FPGEC) in 5 weeks.
  9. I didn't receive FPGEC certificate yet. My application went to final review on Dec 16th 2011. Hope I will get it soon. When was your application went to final review?. We have three applicants in this forum with applications went to final review in Dec 2011.
  10. I am in NV but I am looking to move to CT for personal and family reasons, thus looking for an internship opportunities in west CT, ~NY city or ~NJ city area. I dont know anyone and thus it will be a tough road ahead for me to find an internship. I haven't talked to pharmacies yet, and waiting for FPGEC. I did contacted CT pharmacy board, who asked me to call back once I get FPGEC, and after FPGEC, board will schedule an interview for intern license. Although CT pharmacy board website only says passing score on FPGEE & TOEFL are required for CT intern License and doesn't talk about FPGEC. I am thinking to move to CT first after getting FPGEC and then search for an internship there. I haven't thought anything about NAPLEX yet.
  11. [h=2]Tips for Toefl[/h] 1. Prepare written responses for each question type. There are only 4-5 types of questions, for example, opinion type, choice, favorite place, player, person etc. 2. Once you prepare these responses, memorize them, & practice these responses on recorder until you get it a smoother delivery. 3. Once you get a smoother delivery for questions, then practice with questions from Toefl practice CDs, from internet, youtube or any other source. This is the key as this allows you to modify and adjust your responses to the questions that you are unfamiliar with. For example one test might ask who is your favorite player? Another might ask you whom do you admire most, etc. At least practice ten different questions for each type and practice until you get a smooth delivery. 4. Same thing for other question types Q.3-6. Write down, memorize and practice and try to get sense of different question come on actual test. 5. Allow at least one month for practice and build a tempo for the test. 6. During the test, during 10 min break, try to write down few of your practice responses, at least for Q3-6 and may be for Q1-2. It could be just few words and dotted sentences. You can also use time during each question for this. This will help you to get a score you are looking for.

  13. Its true, waiting is frustrating. However there is hope. By scanning old posts on this site, I find that many applicants received FPGEC with 3-5 weeks after their application been put for final review, few received within 8 weeks. Hopefully we will get certificates in next couple of weeks. It could go beyond 5 week for our cases as last 2 weeks of December and first week of January is always sluggish due to holidays. I dont know when FPGEC committee meets, whether once in a month, twice in month. Also it depends on application load, number applications for FPGEE and number of application for final review for FPGEC. By the way which state you are in and what are your plans for internship?
