  1. Going nowhere since haven't got any fully funded offer. But nevertheless, I would say it might be good thing for me, cince I need more time to find my interests. I'm not sure if PhD in Economics is good option for me at all... Still next year if I apply, Ill be 25 before entering the PhD program which is still young enoguh I guess.
  2. Institution: GSEFM - Frankfurt Program: PhD in Economics Decision: Accepted Funding: tuition waiver, no living expenses covered Notification date: 12/03/ Notified through: email Posted on GC: no - never do Comment: Bummer no funded program, I guess I'll have to wait another year to better prepare my application. I'll be 25 quess that will not be a problem
  3. If you got the buck go to UCL. It is the same university as LSE and you can transfer some credit, and/or visit some prof. or lectures at LSE. UCL is highly ranked in England and gives you also opportunity to apply for PhD at LSE , Oxford or similar. If you also got money go to NYU and you'll have the pathway for NYU PhD if you do pretty well, and also retake GRE, do some RA... But at the end, I would not recommend going to any of those institutions since you would waste 30+k euros for such an endeavor. You can go to some German school, GSE Barcelona or some other place (Tilburg, Amsterdam, basically anywhere you can still apply) and pay your way through much less expensive program that gives you pretty much similar opportunities.
  4. Just dropped my admission, so one more place extra. Best of luck
  5. Seems like the competition was tought this year. I'm sad for you guys, hope you have good enough subistitutes and you'll end up well in your lives. For me Tilburg story is far from setteled, though it is closest I got to the funded program. They confiremd for me middle position on the waiting list and good probability of gaining additional funding. Though I'm not sure if it will be enough, cos probably, only full funding works for me. Sad, cos this is an almost perfect (as close as I manage to get this admission season.) program for me.
  6. Bonn and Humbolt is one year, don't know details for others. Bonn is definitely the best ranked program, though ranks are not merely enough to decide where to go.
  7. @TexasGuy I would guess you were joking. Don't mug this fellow, 167 is within 90th percentile for sure and should not be any problem. It is like getting between 790 and 800Q on the former scale which was and is still enoguh for getting anywere. 165V is great and AW is decent for any good program.
  8. Would you rank Maastricht, MSc in Economic Studies in 2nd tier programs?
  9. Guys, I sory for all of us for so much waiting... I hope, if you and I don't get that we will find our places somwhere else. Best of luck
  10. You could get any top MSc program in Germany and that way fill up your profile for next years application. The good thing is, any of those is practically free, and life is not that expensive, so for the half of money you get great international experience and good starting point for the future PhD studies in USA
  11. If that is so than I must be proud of myself. Coming for unknown country and educational system this seems like a success :) But still, without funding, I probably won't be able to aford it ... We'll see
  12. I hope too. And we might see each other in tilburg some day :)
  13. Institution: Tilburg University Program: Ecomics Research Master Decision: admitted Funding: tuition waiver, waitlisted for scholarship Notification date: March 12 Notified through: Email Posted on GC: NO Comment: So close, still got chance... Maybe I'll sell a kidney or something to attend. It's not my fault that I was born in Eastern-Europe
  14. The First results incoming... Wohooo finally
