  1. Which one is better and beneficial for being good economist and for admission to PHD in Economics? I can do minor in Computer Science or minor in Maths. I like both and I think I can do very good in both, however I limited to choose only one of them. Notes: I took only two maths classes in my undergraduate, so maybe for my PHD I need to make a minor in Maths and take more Maths classes. However Maths don't include interesting lab sessions or group or individual projects like CS. Also you can always open the book if you need to study for Maths, unlike CS where you need practice. I really don't know what to choose, what is more appealing for admission to PHD in Economics, more CS classes or Math? My major is BS in Econ. (I hope I explained what I really wanted to say in my english :)
  2. Is it ok if I test-out upper division math classes?
  3. Can I mention in my SOP which text(s) I used for courses that I tested-out? Or I need only to include Precalc, Intro to Analysis I and II?
  4. I took not so much MATH classes at my undegrad (Precalculus lol (A+), Intro Analysis I (A), Intro Analysis II (A))...only three, however I test-out most of it (Calc I, II, II, Ordinary Differential Equations, Linear Algebra, Multivariate Calculus). So here is my questions: 1) Is it ok that I test out most of my MATH classes at my undegrad instead of taking them during semesters? Meaning I don't have a grade for this class, just credits. 2) How it will affect my university application? 3) Some universities require minimum of four semester of calculus and linear algebra, so does that mean that I needed to take them during semester? Thanks guys!
