  1. The pharmacy regulations in Maine for pharmacy students who have graduated from a foreign country and want to work here state that: "A pharmacy student internship consists of 1500 hours of pharmacy practice at one or more pharmacies under the direct supervision of working pharmacists. The pharmacy internship program provides foreign-educated pharmacy students with practical pre-professional experience in a supervised setting and prepares them for licensure as pharmacists. At least[/left]500 hours of the required 1,500 hour must be completed in the United States." Does this mean I can transfer my internship work from India to here using their affidavit form? has anyone done this before? Is this the reg in other states too?
  2. Does anyone have any ideas or suggestions or thoughts around this? No experience from other states or other mainers?

  5. This is their email: Thank you for your reply. Please know that we do not currently have graduate intern positions available, so if you are a licensed pharmacist in the United States, kindly advise the location(s) where licensed. Thank you, Foreign National Recruiting Coordinator Walgreen Co.
  6. Hi Thanks for your responses. I tried all the major pharmacies, Walgreens, RiteAid,CVS, Walmart, Target, SuperValu - NOTHING!!!!!!!!! It is so frustrating. I don't need sponsorship. I just need to complete my hours. The responses are either - we have nothing available right now or that they don't hire foreign pharmacy grads..
  7. Hello April 2012 FPGEE Graduates, any luck with getting internships? I have received NOs from every single person I contacted..

    What's next

The apps I used were tspeaking and Pre_Toefl. Good free apps. I speak pretty fluent English and have written research papers here in the US so the speaking and writing part was quite easy for me.
  9. I don't even need the sponsorship. I have a green card. I am going to call Maine state board of pharmacy.
  10. Can you work as a pharmacy tech to complete the hours or do you need to work as a intern?
  11. Doesn't look too good. I got my FPGEC in tha mail yesterday. Rite Aid told me they don't hire foreign pharmacy graduates. I haven't heard ffrom anyone else. The hospitals hire only current pharmacy students :(

Oh well.. Never mind the question. I got my FPGEC in the mail yesterday. Now if only getting a positive response to my internship queries was this easy...

    What's next

So we passed the FPGEE and TOEFL iBT. What's next? Did anyone get their printed score report from NABP? How long before we get the FPGEC?
  14. There is no alternative. NABP will not accept anything other than TOEFL iBT
  15. Hi OGIE24 I do have review materials. I have the Shargel book and the FPGEE Secrets (e-Book). In addition I downloaded a lot of materials off the internet (that I never got time to review). I made notes on the stuff I studied, Are you interested in buying anything?
