Hi Everyone!
I am new to TM & seeking some advice. I applied to 18 Econ PhD programs this year. After a string of rejections, I've finally got through USC, ASU, ISU & UC Riverside (all with financial support.) I believe my current interests are Development, Labor and Econometrics. I might get interested in Experimental as well, haven't had formal exposure yet.
I had almost decided on USC- thinking of the research fit and the location, until I got an email from one of the professors I'd been corresponding with at the other schools, and according to him USC has become a 'dysfunctional' department. This has freaked me out!
I would really appreciate your thoughts on USC.
