Many many congratulations on getting in. Though I don't know much about mathematics rankings but I'll jump into Irvine any time. Again many congrats. -
Hi all, I am applying to PSU and USC and they need the transcripts in the sealed envelopes along with the transcript request form attached to the transcript. I have the transcripts which have registrar seal but I don't have time to get them enveloped by the registrar. Should I send the transcripts without the request forms or should follow the prescribed procedure.(then I'll miss the deadline) :( please help me. thanks and regards jinics

thanks dshory. What I can think of is since L.H.S. = 72.42 and then both k and term (24+n/100) should be divisible by 72.42 this thing means n should be such that it should yield a facttor of 72.42 when added in 24. since clearly 72/24=3 so n should be 14. since 42/14=3. so n should be 14 and k should be 3.Its more about thinking rather then solving.

no its B I also got C.

damn it how stupid I am! thanx dshory Anybody plz can you solve other 2. thanks

If 2 sides of a triangle have lengths 3.2 and 5.4 then the length of the 3rd side must be between a-0.0 to 2.2 b-2.2 to 5.4 c-2.2 to 8.6 d-3.2 to 5.4 e-5.4 to 8.6 ans c how? another question: If 72.42=k(24 + n/100) where k and n are +ve integers, and n a- 17 b- 16 c- 15 d- 14 e- 13 ans:a another one: Q Comparison: Fot the line with equation y=ax+b,where ab!=0 The x-intercept is twice the y-intercept. ColA:Slope of the line ColB: 1/2 Please reply ASAP

so it means all the even numbers i.e. 48 + all the numbers odd numbers containing a erm divisible by 8. like: 7*8*9 15*16*17 23*24*25 ..... is there are shorter method to do such questions. I can do it only by listing down and observing the pattern.

I think the nwer is 10/60 which is 1/6. Reason we have 30 rows with each row having 3 seats on both sides of the aisle => each row has 6 seats and we can have 30+30 window seats.out of these 60 seats we have 5 rows with obscure view.so we have 10 windows seats with obscure view. So the probability of sitting on the window seat with obscure view is: 10/60=1/6.

From tis explaination I think the answer should be n=5. i.e. we need five more blocks of 12*6*4 to place with the already present one block of 12*6*4.i.e. a total of 6 blocks. can somebody explain question 8,11, and 14 to me thanx

dshory I think you are right answer should be D.
-
sholdn't it be solved with Geometric mean formula.Formula to find nth term.

I have heared that the level of LSAT is the toughest and if you wanna cruise through GRE RC one should prepare from LSAT RCs.
-
I have very less time and very poor RC capability.From which part of 3000 RC I should practice and how I should practice to improve my RC. I have heared that the level of LSAT is the toughest and if you wanna cruise through GRE RC one should prepare from LSAT RCs.

3000 RCs are at this location. http://www.www.urch.com/forums/gre-reading-comprehension/54726-3000-rcs-new-link-2.html
