  1. Absolutely take the GMAT if you are going to business school. Admissions committees know that it is a more difficult exam.
  2. Are you talking about the quant or verbal section (or both)?
  3. mmmm.... 1 is not the prime factorization of 1, because 1 is not a prime number - stick with that thought. Read the 6th paragraph: Prime factor - Wikipedia, the free encyclopedia
  4. Just for a reference. The midpoint of a line with respect to (x,y) is (average of x-values, average of y-values) Slope is (y2 - y1)/(x2 - x1) and the equation for a line is y = mx + b, where m is the slope and b is the y-intercept.

    GRE preparation

One of the best things that you can do for the math is to practice without a calculator. Learn how to use prime factors to do (avoid) long division and multiplication.

    GRE subject test

Nope. You can just sit for the subject test - in fact, it is really a different exam altogether, just administered by the same organization. Here is the page from ets: https://www.ets.org/gre/subject/about Do note that they are only offered 3 times a year.
  7. My honest opinion for you would be to take a lot of time to study for the verbal section. You have a good record, but are only 1 year out of school. This is a negative along with your verbal score. Fortunately, the two can work together if you take time to prep. Learn your grammar rules and improve this area. As you take time (this doesn't happen overnight) studying the English language you will be at 3-4 years of work experience, which will put you in a position to apply for some schools. It is good to be ahead of the game, which you are, but do not force the issue.
  8. The key focus for you should be the fact that there is a comma and conjunction. What comes after the ", and" should be a complete phrase. Ask yourself if this is a complete phrase: "allow them to refine their geological models while drilling is in progress." Since the answer is no, the correct response is the second choice. Hope this helps.

    GMAT score

What you need to do is look at the 80% range of your school. Ideally your score is in at least the middle of that range. Depending on your background you may want it higher.
  10. Sounds like a bad day... definitely retake the exam
  11. Agree with Brent... That is not a typical GMAT Question
  12. Thanks for sharing. This is great information.
  13. You could try some online prep if you want...
  14. Have you thought about an online program or online tutoring? Might be a way to get what you are looking for...
