  1. I am a bit confused... Nine if this looks GMAT related. What is the purpose?
  2. As opposed to writing out the work, here is a short guide on how to work through these: the probability that it won't rain is 30% based on the given information. So, simply list the 8 different outcomes and multiply the probabilities to see the likelihood that each will occur: One day if rain is .7*.7*.3 .7*.3*.7 .3*.7*..7
  3. Just to add, one mistake that people make is to try and judge how they are doing on the real exam. However, this can be a mistake because it will distract you from your goal, which is to get the next question right. You can't change anything you have done in the past, and really you can't get a strong prediction because some of the questions are not used for score. These are sprinkled in the exam and can be of any difficulty level.
  4. Honest answer is to get back on the saddle. If this is something that you want, keep preparing for it. There are obviously things you missed in you prep, so go back through your materials to cover it...
  5. This is most definitely not a GMAT problem (or one you should expect to see come exam day). Guess would be A, which is .85 x 125.
  6. I would that you would do 1 - (4/5)^4 which is 1 - 256/625, leaving E as the answer.
  7. #1 a consultant is not necessary, although they can be helpful. I would look at some of the top firms: MBA mission, Veritas, etc. because many of them do virtual work and will likely have experience with your situation.
  8. What was your college GMAT? This is very important with your 'decent' gmat score.
  9. This really depends on your ability level and your consistency. If you are disciplined, a course may be overkill and you can get much of what you need out of books. You absolutely need the OG 13th, but I would look at getting a book or two about GMAT strategy and content. The OG is really just a source of questions.
  10. This really depends on where you want to go. Schools are accepting both, but if you are looking to get into a top MBA programs then most definitely take the GMAT. The GMAT has a bunch of Verbal content too, but it is not a vocabulary test like the GRE. All in all, the GRE is a bit easier, so if you think you can handle the GMAT then take it as it will look better on any application. Good luck!
