  1. Hello Okayboy, Thanks for enquiring but I sold the book already.
  2. Hi, Your best bet is to go to the website of the state board of pharmacy and see what the requirements are for internship. It varies from state to state. In most states, after FPGEE, you are allowed to do your internship and then do Naplex & Mpje after internship. The state board website should have intern application forms for you to fill stating your name address etc, name & license no of pharmacy you want to do the internship & the name & license number of your would be preceptor. When they get your application and everything is in order you'll be sent a letter/ card designating you as an intern/extended intern and the forms on which to document your hours.. That is my experience with Texas, like I said earlier it varies from one state to another. Regarding the visa question , I know it's possible to work as a volunteer if one cannot get the required visa that allows you to work . Also some employers used to file for visa for their intern but I'm not sure how that process goes. Check your state board website, mail them or call them with any questions you have, they are normally willing to clarify what you need to do. I had to call my state board with questions a few times myself & someone always emailed me back or gave me a call back to explain things. Best wishes Boeing
  3. Information for Pharmacists Hi Pary123, You only need your FPGEC and SSN to register with Texas state board for the naplex and MPJE, you don't need the intern licence for that. If you click on the link or go to their website and click on pharmacist- registration by examination. It had all the info you need. Basically, you mail your application form and supporting docs to tsbp, obtain your fingerprint session, pay nabp for the naplex and MPJE . Once tsbp get a report on your fingerprint session and it's ok, they'll tell nabp that you're eligible to take the exams and nabp then generated ATT for you . The ATT is good for one year so you can register with Pearson Vue to take the exam anytime within that one year. hope this answers your question. You can pm me if you want more clarification & I'll be glad to help. In my case I got ATT about 3-4 weeks after my fingerprint session. best wishes
  4. Hi there, I think it's possible you submitted the wrong forms. I'm a foreign grad & just started my internship too. I know it varies from state to state, but in Texas as a foreign grad one would submit the form for "extended intern" application while if one is currently a student in a College, you will submit a student intern application form. That 30 hours they are asking - is a requirement of the student intern application. For extended intern thru would ask for your FPGEC certificate. So maybe go your state board's website to verify you submitted the correct forms & you can give them a call to find out what they need as proof of the 30 hours. yo take the paid or volunteer position- it's a tough call - would you rather complete the hours quickly or would you prefer getting paid yo offset your childcare expenses. Again if I was you, I would call the state board to ask if I can have 2 preceptors ( in Texas it's allowed- I have two preceptors). If it's possible in your state , you will be able to work 2 days with the paid and 3 days unpaid. So definitely give the board a call. Good luck.
  5. hi, like Angeldus said, Texas regulation is that one has to schedule Naplex /MPJE within 6 months of getting your FPGEC and needs to pass the Naplex within 3 months of starting extended internship , if A person fails the exam, then he has to stop internship because the internship as well as the intern licence becomes invalidated . Such a person will have to pass the exams before being allowed to continue internship. So yes you will have chance to do the exam again. NABP allows 5 attempts to pass naplex however there must be a 3 month waiting period before retaking the exam. Hope that clarifies for you the Texas requirement and the NABP requirement. It's the reason why foreign grads in Texas tend to do naplex and MPJE before starting internship. I'm in Texas also- I got my FPGEC in July , took and passed naplex in November and will take MPJE in a few weeks , then I will start searching for a place to do the internship. Best wishes
  6. I have for sale, the APHA complete review for the fpgee by D R Gourley. Ibought it this year and used it to pass the FPGEE. The book is in very good condition, no writings , markings or highlighting whatsoever on it. there is slight sign of wear on the front cover. very affordable price. Please PM me if interested. Thanks
  7. Hi. Go to nabp.net and download the Fpgee bulletin. It tells you all the steps to take in applying g for the Fpgee. No there is no short cut to speed things up, you just have to start the process early enough. Best wishes.
  8. Hi, you can get the official toefl prep guide from the Ets store. You can also buy questions series fro the store. That was all I did and it was enough for me to pass it. Best wishes for the test.

    Books for FPGEE

Hi, I think you may have a different book. What you need is 'APHA complete review for the fpgee'. That's the name as it's written on the front cover of the book. You can get it on Amazon.
  10. Hi, Dont know if you still need the info seeing its a been a while since you sked the question, but it could be of benefit to some people as well. I called the Texas board a few days ago, I dont know if there is a fee involved but I dont think there is. However, you need the name of the pharmacy where you want to do the internship and the preceptor before you can submit the form for intern licence application in Texas. May be different in some other states.
  11. Hi Little Pharos, It depends on the state. In Texas, you need the actual fpgec certificate and you need to have gotten a place to do internship before you can apply for intern licence, is what I was told when I called to enquire. Your best bet is to call the state pharmacy board to know what the requirements are.
  12. Hi, does anyone plan on selling their Rxprep materials? Pls let me know, I'm looking to buy. thanks for reading.
  13. Glory be to God , I passed the exam too. Congrats to everyone who made it. For those who didn't , don't lose hope, try again & believe in yourself that you can do it. I read thru APHA review for FPGEE twice. I think that is the number one book to prepare with. I also used the Manan question series( I only used 1000 questions & the management questions) but I didn't go thru all the questions because I didn't have enough time. Also do the pre fpgee, it helps to know what kind of question s to expect. For the questions you find difficult on the pre fpgee , research more to know the answers. You might get something g like that on the real exam, because that happened to me best wishes
