  1. Thank you very much for clarifying this. I compared my answers with the ones from Jason Renshaw ([ TOEFL iBT ] Renshaw Internet School of English), who is a native speaker. Now I compared it with the sample answers from "TOEFL iBT Sample Questions" from ETS and it came out that I'm only slightly slower. So I will stick to my speed. (BTW, Renshaw's website is very helpfull, anyway.)
  2. My problem is, that my mothertongue is German and I speak only about half as fast as in the sample answers. So I cannot deliver detailed descriptions or examples. In my speed, my intonation and emphasis is good (I think), but when I try to speak faster, it's becoming monotonous, sentences become corrupted and I start to stumble. So, what is more important? Delivering content or good speaking? Thanks a lot for your advice! awehring
