  2. Hello everyone I did my IELTS exam and i got 5.5 band. i know it is so bad to get the same score. but i decided to improve my English first for 3 months then practice exam skills for another three. now - every week end, i scan a script of a movie to take difficult vocabularies . then i print it to study. - the rest of the week i watch the movie again and again. so, i just want to ask here about an expression in " Mulan" movie because i couldn't get the meaning from dictionary or internet. the expression is : Who spit in her bean curd? please , help me, this movie is my lesson the next week week. i am working on (TARZAN) now. Thanks.

  4. Hello : I have an inquiry about ( false / true/ Not Given) questions for 2 specific questions. These two questions are: (1) the passage's statement is: 24-hour emergency support through out the length of the program. the question's statement is: Emergency assistant offered in the program includes legal advice. The answer is: ( not Given) (2) the passage statement is: InterExchange can also offer you work opportunities in other countries. the question's statement is: InterExghange offers similar programs in countries other than the USA. The answer is: (True) My inquiry is: In the first question the passage didn’t mention ( Legal advice) , so this information is ( not given). That is ok. But, In the second question the passage didn’t mention that the programs are ( similar) , So, Why the answer is (True). It should be not Given, Right? If not….Why?????

  7. You are writing a letter in response to an advertisement offering a work to look after a house in Scotland. In your letter write: about your self , who you are. Why do you need this job? Any questions with regard to this job. Dear Sir or Madam, I am writing this letter in response to your ads of 21st January on the internet. And, I have been here for two years. I am a junior student at the Scotland University . I am an Egyptian girl. As I am a girl and always help my mom, I really have a great experience of home chores. So, I found myself applied to this job. Actually I need this job to help me afford my tuitions expenses. And, we are now on the summer holiday. Thus, I can work full-time and safe some money. I have just needed some inquiries about this job such as: How many family members in the house , are there any children and the ages of these children? Also, how many hours would I work per a week? And when would be the holidays? However, you can contact me any time on my cell phone; ( 055 555 6661) , or you may send me an email atheba@example.com. Whatever your reply, I will appreciate it . I look forward to hearing from you soon. Yours sincerely, Heba Miss Heba Ahmed

    am i get better?

this is my last essay. i hope i get better than before . Some people believe that children should do what their parents tell them to do; others believe that children shall work/think independently . discuss both views and give your opinion. Parents , of course, have a lot of experiences to give for their children, so the children should obey their parents. But some people see that it is better to leave children behave independently. My point is: should new generation follow their parents (on every situation) and (for ever) ? in this writing I will explore the two opposite views, then I will say when kids should follow their parents instructions. There are some people think that parents should be obeyed by their offspring. May be, they think that parents know more than children and that makes kids avoid a lot of problems or dangers . Or,may be, they see that parents are always trying to do their best to make the future of kids better than them. Therefore, every kid should trust his parents' advice and follow it forever. On the other side, there are minority see that parents should leave the children to behave and make their discussions freely, because kids will learn the right just when they do the wrong. Also, the new generation face a variety of challenges and problems which their parents have never faced before. So, children have to take their decision according to the modern lifestyle. Then, new generation has some skills and qualifications which elder people don't have; so they can deal with such problems from their own point of view. On my opinion, both (new generation and elder people) have a special experiences which can help to cope with different problems and situations . Mother and father can give their children a great advice for morals, ethics and social affairs, and that would be for early ages. Also, new generation has more experiences of new life style and new problems, and they should take the charge of solving such problems. To sum up, children should follow their parents at the early ages to learn the code of ethics and basics. But later, they have to solve their problems by themselves relying on their new knowledge and awareness of their new lifestyle.

    Academic or general

THANKS Mike for links, they are useful . i think i have to study all.
  12. Hi, I think there are certain IELTS ' TOPICS for Academic writing, and others for general. For example, economic and international problems are for Academic exam , but social and family problems are for general. Is that right? i don't want to waste my time in Academic stuff.
  13. thank you Mike, is it better to but this recommendation on the conclusion paragraph?
