Hey guys - I am in a dilemma choosing between a PhD offer between a lower ranked program in the US to a highly reputed PhD program in Sweden. I guess I read something about choosing between a PhD program in the US to EU. But nothing specific to Sweden. So apology in case anyone finds this post repetitive. I am an international student who has secured an admit to a lower ranked PhD in entrepreneurship program in the US and very close to securing an admit to highly ranked PhD in entrepreneurship program in sweden. Though I would prefer the program in Sweden but being an international student makes me worried about my future after 4 years. I have two problems that I foresee: 1. Being an international student, how was or difficult it is securing a job in the EU or maybe even in the US (assume I do well in my PhD program)? 2. As I have a family with a school going kid, how easy or difficult will it be for my kid to change school after 4 years of English education in Sweden? I am actually more worried for point 2 than point 1. If anyone can share a Sweden specific experience, that would be great. Cheers!

Congratulations paka0115! You are one step away from your goal. Hope you get through. As for me, I don't think I should waste my time logging into their website and check my status. I can safely assume that I am rejected. :( Colleges should at least have a courtesy to inform rejected candidates!

All the best buddy. As for me, the status is still under review. I guess they are finding my application just too cryptic..or maybe that I am just too good for them! ;)

I too am looking forward to their results! But no news so far.....

Indeed @Kavitam! Finally....got one rejection from SUNY Buffalo! So its one down for me. Have you applied to UK Colleges only ? I have submitted my research proposal to Cranfield. Yet to hear from them.

Has anyone heard from IU (Kelley) - PhD in Entrepreneurship program ?

I have been going through some posts on TGC and there seems to be lot of frustration thrown towards Canadian universities. Most of the international students seem to be complaining about racism in the admission process. Is that true or maybe just a sort of frustration being shown by rejected candidates?

I thought they were done with their offers. I guess I read something about their interviews on TGC some weeks back. If they haven't, I guess there is still a ray of hope for me! :)

I had applied to the Entrepreneurship PhD program at U of Missouri at Kansas City (UMKC). I got an e-mail a few days back saying that they are not taking any admits this year. However, the same applications would be considered for the Fall 2016 program!!!!! Grrr...........

My agonizing wait doesn't seem to end. I have applied to 14 (submitted all my applications by November end) - interviewed with one (results would be announced in March end) Rest all the applications are "under review"!!!!! Wonder what do I make out of this ? - My application is just too bad to go through ? :-( - I am probably not a priority right now (there are slightly better applications that are being looked into) ? - I am just too good that I will be offered in all without an interview ?? :-) Thinking...Thinking....Waiting.....Waiting.....

I gave an interview on the 22nd of January and I have got an e-mail from the professor that the results would be out only in March/early-April!!!! :(
