Hi, I am currently working on L1 visa in the US. Can I get a F1 visa at my home country with start date around mid-August without getting my L1 affected(cancelled)? I will be visiting my home country (India) to get the F1 visa stamp (assuming that my application is successful) and would like to return on L1 status so that I can continue working. Will cross the border to get my status changed to F1 just before the start of my classes (will purchase these tickets in advance so that I can show them to the officer while returning from India). Any help would be appreciated. Thanks.
