  1. My Q score is 156 V 157 AWA 3 please suggest colleges which can give me scholarship. TOEFL-yet to take.
  2. how? Is it so? somebody said the clear thought process was missing.
  3. Educational institutions have a responsibility to dissuade students from pursuing fields of study in which they are unlikely to succeed. Students entering education institutions at young age have a lot of potential and enthusiasm to give their best, dissuading such students to opt for right subjects which can pave path to their success will surely prove to be a boon to society. Education Institutions, considered as prestigious institutions, are very much responsible for a nation’s success. A nation’s economy is solely dependent on its upcoming generations i.e. students. If an education institution is adamant at building a strong nation in terms of economy, power and technology, it need to enlighten students regarding what is good for them. Choosing right career path would save a lot of time and this time can be utilized for some other tact to bring drastic changes in the present era. Also wealth will be spent frugally on right resources not making a big hole in anybody’s pocket and a prudent student will agree to the point that “a penny saved is penny earned”. All students have peculiar interests and potentials. A student having mellifluous voice will contribute towards culture of a country. Or any other student intelligent in economy may contribute towards economy of a country. A student having culinary skills will make a nation proud of its unique tastes, attracting more visitors, bestowing more towards financial growth. And lastly, a student might be interested in Computers or the burning issue “Artificial Intelligence” may play a part in defense forces. A problem will surely arise that how to judge a student’s capabilities. This can be resolved by making them study all the necessary fields to some level and differentiating pupils from their grades. Another counterargument may be some fields are necessary for all students. Let’s say all students must know about finances. This is a major issue since a country’s economy decides its position in the Global Market. But such issues can be decided by making students study the important fields to the level required for them. A science student may not be required to study Economy from thoroughly. Only an education institution can guide a student about which fields to choose since an amateur student may not be aware of his potential. Only responsible educational institutions will lead to better economy, thus making a stand in Global Society and making a country eminent. Thus, educational institutions acting as building pillars of any society, must espouse the society by persuading their students to come out of parochial setups and lend shoulder in outstanding development of their society.
  4. This one is mine how would you rate it? As people rely more and more on technology to solve problems, the ability of humans to think for themselves will surely deteriorate. As the topic says , thinking power of humans will deteriorate with more advancements in technology, but focusing on today’s hectic which is not possible without smartphones, tablets etc., I don’t think so! As time is money, relying upon technology will surely save one’s time especially professionals. Paying attention to smartphones, tablets, advanced computers etc . , a user can easily check his mails, can contact anybody instantaneously, can check where he is and where he wants to go. Moreover, if we say thinking is hampered, it does not happen. Since children are gadget freaks, they tend to pay attention more towards how does technology move and how the world is changing. In addition to that, children can channelize more energy in building similar or who knows far more advanced gadgets. Who knows a student living in remote area , can use technology-driven smartphones and can help himself in studies. Yes, of course, there are cons of everything:-as said by Stephen Hawkings “Artificial Intelligence” another technology driven product can take control over human beings and a day will come when the robots or other products of Artificial Intelligence will prove to be detrimental. But, we are made to forget the robot designed by NASA which will accompany a person travelling to space and has the ability to help a person to bring out new suggestions, if he is a trouble. And yes it is also claimed, students pay more attention to gadgets than other things. But see today’s students far more advanced that their ancestors, who can solve all the problems himself because of help of technology. May be if Thomas Elva Edison or Einstien were alive, they would be astonished to look at the new developing and developed era and say”Hats off!!”. Yes, coming back to Artificial Intelligence, it can take turmoil over human. But lets check out the weapns designed or the robots e.g. GigaVolt, MetaVolt. May be these can be helpful in all the attacks made by terrorist in areas which can’t afford nuclear weapons like many countries are always under continuous fear of attack and the respective authorities will have a peaceful sleep! Students trying to make new inventions, saving time which is actually money, awareness amongst people about what is happening around us and what can happen in future etc. etc. many features and who says technology hampers human mental growth? Further not paying much attention to cons, since these, if controlled, will surely lead to more and make developing and under-developed countries developed countries and who knows it will contribute towards increase in global income! All said, the conclusion is technology does not hamper one’s growth rather it make people awake and aware and lead to progress of nations.
  5. To understand the most important characteristics of a society, one must study its major cities. Looking very deeply into the topic and cross-checking all of its dimensions, I found major cities only represent how healthy a nation but all of its dark sides are whitewashed. Major cities usually represent how healthy a nation is from all aspects-wealth, transport, defense, provision of resources, literacy rate etc. But if you a nation’s only major cities you won’t ever come to know that many girls in India are still married at the of 18 or even below 18.This is major dark side hich is not represented by big and already developed cities. In India, there are still many villages in Maharashtra which don’t get proper electricity supply. How can such an area lead to increase in nation’s economy? Moreover, metroplotians in India represent good-in fact-very good transportation facilities but these don’t make one realize there are still some areas which don’t have proper roads, transportation facility is a dream for people living in such areas. Also not forgetting remote areas where people don’t even get proper educaton, they don’t know what is the word ”Literacy”, achieving education is not even in their dreams, how can then study of only the major cities provide one with most important characteristics of a society. Yes, a city like Bangaluru can surely represent the IT sector, but this area alone can’t contribute towards the study. Also there are defence forces well established in big cities, Water-Trade and Air-Trade in major cities. Provision of metros is another example of representation of prosperity of many nations, but these big cities can very well whitewash the dark sides of many other very important factors. After all, if major of a society’s population is illiterate or is not able to avail any of the required facilities, then how can such a large number of population lead to development of a society’s economic growth? Thus concluding, paying attention to only major cities to only major cities will show only some factors of a society, but paying attention to underdeveloped cities will provide true picture of a society.
