  1. I have no problem with people asking for advice about schools, and my response may be a little too harsh. However, if it is the case that bubblegum was accepted into 7 top programs (which would require multiple interviews about his or her research interests), it would seem likely that this person would be able to narrow his or her choice down to 3 or 4 schools just based on research overlap. I am not going to be applying to schools for a while, so I don't want it to seem like I have sour grapes, but listing up every specific acceptance you have received seems a little insensitive to others who may not have been so fortunate.
  2. They are all excellent schools, so basing your decision on academic merit would be way too arbitrary. I would send out a group email to the admissions coordinators at all these schools, explaining your dilemma. Tell them your decision will come down to the stipend each school can offer, and propose the coordinators bid for the opportunity to have you as a student. Start the bidding at 40 grand, and see how much you can get!
  3. Hello again Urchers! I just had a quick question about 3-2 MBA programs. I am currently an undergrad (junior) considering a 3-2 MBA program. My ultimate intention is to end up in a Management PhD program (probably after 2 years work experience). The MBA program is one in which I am very interested. It is a borderline top 20 school, definitely top 25, and luckily, I have been offered a full scholarship for the 5th year. Would having an MBA through this program be an asset when applying to PhD programs? Also, would it provide good preparation once I enroll in a PhD program? Any thoughts or comments (positive or negative) will be greatly appreciated!!!
  4. Hello everyone! A couple of months ago, I decided I really love the study of business and am looking to enter a PhD program in the fall of 2016. Thanks for your time and good luck with your applications!
