me'll agree.. Though the stop-after-1=2posts idea is also good, but sometimes it so happens that 5-6 posts are posted within a couple of mins & at other times some threads/posts remain unanswered (or Any further posts being posted) for days... Offcourse, every thread will ultimately have ONE LAST post (for some timebeing, though exceptions are there when some old thread are picked up.. but these are 2-3% of total#). Also, this way (stop-after-1=2posts) the LAST Post, which is Most of the times The CONCLUDING post for the thread, will be allowed to be edited even after 1-2 years (though if another option in the forum soft. is put to restrict Edit option after 2 weeks or after 1-2 replies.. whichever is achieved first.. & this will be real absurd & also will bring in extra work for Erin :D) After 15-20 hours thingi sounds better to me as well... :)

If downloads are not allowed to non-members, then atleast, we have a probable feasible reason/explanation as to why ppl join & don't participate. BUt if they are, then Why?? I completely understand Erin's concern here, & I also agree that armie's points are all very valid. But IMV People who sign in for downloads etc are Far more > One's who sigm im & don't participate coz they are not comfortable in posting or busy etc. Just to make this point lil more clear, you can visit the Following link (GMAT Forum @ TM) & Read the Titles of Threads with Most # of Replies & Views. & also, #posts of people who have replied in them. That's why I'll suggest to allow downloads either w/o any restrictions (ie. even as a guest, w/o actually becoming a member, a pseudo member i would call) or to members with certain points/posts & who make their contributions wrt the same (by participating in discussions etc, every view counts.. be it from an Expert or Novice). This (any of the two), IMO, will atleast restrict unnecessary Registers. Though, again, not such a simple an issue.(though, i think downloads are already allowed to non-members.. n some other highly perplexing reasons lies beneath the thingi.. as to why ppl join n leave w/o making posts.) As we need more views, from ppl who post the Least, me'll take leave for now!! :D
