  1. any idea about why only very few people receive the rejection for Stanford? I'm sure loads of people will have checked by now, but don't seem to post on GC.
  2. I think that adcoms look at the names of your professors and uni. The reason being that they if they know the person, the can usually judge how challenging a course is. While I got lucky, I find this quite frustrating as there are loads of people at lower ranked departments who don't have any famous professors. I suppose a top European or Canadian master and taking classes of people whose student place well is the answer.
  3. Can anyone confirm Stanford GSB on GC?
  4. Any idea which of the top20 we can expect next?
  5. Looking at a candidate like f150 who is good enough for Chicago, do places like Brown recognise that that candidate will get better offers than Brown and thus don't want to waste their acceptance?
  6. Is it normal that when you go to the UoC application website to check your status, that you can upload "post-decision material", "passport", etc? Is this standard?
  7. Apparently Ohio State started sending out offers.
  8. I applied to top 20 programmes and am currently enrolled in a 1-year master programme in the UK
  9. If my fall grades are only released in mid-Feb, is there any way they could be relevant for my application? Thanks
  10. why is this forum so quite? I am super nervous and need someone to be nervous with. Applied to ~15 programmes and aimed (too) high
  11. May I just ask, which ranking are you referring to when stating that Warwick is top 3 in UK?
  12. Hello everyone, Initially, I asked about my specific situation. Now, that has changed. For this thread to be of any use, here is a general discussion: Does it make a difference what I teach as a GTA to my PhD application?
