  1. Hi. Have you done both TOEFL and IELTS? I'm an academic researcher at the University of Nottingham, UK, and looking for people who have done both tests to do a short interview with. The interview would be through video-call (Skype/FaceTime/etc.), would last 30-40 minutes, and I'm offering to pay you for your time (£5 GBP, which is about $7 US). The ad is here: callforparticipants.com/study/PKSDM/toefl-and-ielts-reasons-for-choosing-an-english-test . You can sign up through the ad. (You can alternatively just private message me on this forum.) I've already interviewed a number of people, but now need to branch out and get interviewees from different countries, and that's why I'm trying this new channel (I'll be posting on other messageboards as well). The interviewees so far all said they enjoyed the short interview, and that they actually liked the chance to reflect on their experience of going through these tests. To make clear, this is academic research, for an article to be published in an academic journal - there is no commercial element to it, and I have no commercial interest in it. Instead, as is normal for research interviews, I'm offering to pay participants. If on the other hand you don't wish to receive payment, that is of course fine. I do have a lot of experience in language testing, so if you are planning to do one of the TOEFL or IELTS tests again, instead of the payment I could give you a practice speaking test and feedback, if that's more convenient. Thanks ;-)
  2. Sorry, I misunderstood the layout of this forum - the thread should have gone in the general "TOEFL" area....
