  1. Go for MSc Economics(2years). Economics is not just for maths. You need economic intuition and research experience. In that regard, LSE would open a lot of doors for you. Hands down.
  2. First, congratulations on your success in application to PhD programs. Although I do not have specific info on prelims nor info on your fit to either of programs, but I think I can talk about fundings. What I have heard from my friends in other PhD programs, getting 3.33 is not difficult as long as you keep up with the matrials. So, I think you can get fundings. This will determine your additional 30k, so I would recommend Boulder if you are committed to your PhD. Side note: if you are going to be a TA and later on become an economist, speaking skills is REALLY important. I think practicing your speaking skills and trying to get a high score in TOEFL speaking will be useful to your funding as well as your career.
  3. Hi all, I will be applying to business schools this year in strategy. I am deciding which test - between GRE and GMAT - I should choose. As I am not a native English speaker, I am not confident that I would get a good score, say, 4.5 in AWA in GRE. However, I heard that PhD committee in strategy values the score in writing very much. If this is the case, would GMAT be more suitable for my profile? I appreciate everyone for your comments.
