  1. Nations should pass laws to preserve any remaining wilderness areas in their natural state, even if these areas could be developed for economic gain. Write a response in which you discuss your views on the policy and explain your reasoning for the position you take. In developing and supporting your position, you should consider the possible consequences of implementing the policy and explain how these consequences shape your position. A country ought to preserve its forest areas because forests are one of the most crucial resources of oxygen, ores and herbs; however, the economic conditions of a country can not be neglected. Many a time, to stabilize the economy, the government has to use some areas of the jungle. Firstly, it is very important to have at least 33% area for the forest in any country to have a stable ecosystem because according to World Health Organization (WHO), 33% forests are enough to replenish the oxygen into the environment. So, the government should make the rules and regulations for the preservation of wilderness areas of the country. Having good control over these areas help in the reduction of the extinction of the species. On the other hand, wilderness areas also provide the raw material for various businesses. For example, cotton for clothes, wood for furniture, and paper. After having such benefits from jungles, the government should work upon the implementation of the laws for saving forests. However, we cannot ignore the fact that without a good economical conditions a government cannot run the country. So in order to improve the economy, the Government has to utilize some areas of the Jungle. Because if there is not a good economical condition of a country then there is no sense of having a rich wilderness area. By doing this, the government is opening doors for various mines and oil refineries because according to ONGC (Oil and Natural Gas Company, India) there are plenty of resources of crude oil in various wilderness area across the globe. But, we can not forget the fact that if we want a healthy life then at least the 33 % area of the land must be preserved for the jungle. So, A government must make a policy for the country in which it should allocate as much as land possible to the forests and if it requires some area for the economic development of the country then they only utilize the area which is needed and which should not decrease the forest area of the country lesser than 33%. If these policies were implemented successfully then there would be an equilibrium in the ecosystem as well as the government can utilize only some portion of the land which will help to leverage its economy. Finally, after analysing each factor the conclusion could be that the government should preserve the remaining forests and in an emergency, if required they should use some forest area.

  3. The following is a memorandum from the business manager of a television station. "Over the past years, our late-night news program has devoted increased time to national news and less time to weather and local news. During this time period, most of the complaints received from viewers were concerned with our station's coverage of weather and local news. In addition, local businesses that used to advertise during our late-night news program have just canceled their advertising contracts with us. therefore, in order to attract more viewers to the program and to avoid loosing any further advertising revenues, we should restore the time devoted to weather and local news to its formal level." Write a response in which you discuss what specific evidence is needed to evaluate the argument and explain how the evidence would weaken or strengthen the argument. it is said in the memorandum that the television station has increased the news timing of national news but it is not stated why did they do that. this fact is missing here and it is also stated that when the television station has done that they lost their customers, viewers and advertising contracts. there are two things are missing first of all consmer survey which contains different questions about the liking and disliking of the consumer which could help to decide whether the news station need to apply that strategy or not. the second thing which is missing is the complaints what compalaints are received by the news station and if they recieved the complaint they had to ask the feedback and the solutions from consumers. in this memorendum it is also missing that the which type of advertisement they need to show on their television station. if all the thing mentioned above are given then it will help the news sation to maximize their viewers and it also help the news station to bring new advertising contracts to them. if the news channel has a proper consumer survey it will help to bring new customers and also new advertising contracts from local as well as global businesses. i also find that the objective of late night television program is missing, the objective is the base for any business and work if it was stated in this memorandum it will help the owner and their co worker to find a proper solution for this problem.
  4. A nation should require all of its students to study the same national curriculum until they enter college. Write a response in which you discuss the extent to which you agree and disagree with the recommendation and explain your reasoning for the position you take. in developing and supporting your position, describe specific circumstances in which adopting the recommendation would or would not be advantageous and explain how these examples shape your position. I strongly agree with the given recommendation because it will provide an uniform education to all students of the nation and it can be said that it wiil be fair with all students whether they belong to urban area and rural area of the nation. but sometimes many educators want that it must be different curriculum for all the states of the nation because students also get the knowledge of their religion and their state and if whole curriculum for the country is same they will not be able to learn about their religion and their state. i believe there can be one solution that there must be at least one subject which is elective for students and which deals with the religion and the state from which a particular student belongs. in 2010 NCERT applies same course for all states in India, but after one year they realise that there must be a subject for students which will provide them the knowledge of their state and their city so NCERT ordered states to apply a new book in their curriculum so students get the knowledge of their state. there is also one more thing can come that if a student shifts from one state to another state he can learn about that state easily if he read the book related to that state in which he is shifted. In India thear are 29 states and each state has different language. so i believe state Government should add State language subject in the curriculum of that state because it will help to save the state language and also prepare students to speak state language with old people of the state.
