Hi all! I'm just admitted to PennState, with no aid given. Can I go to PSU and do my courses, and later transfer the credits to elsewhere? Does it save me some time? I'm planning to re-apply to UCSD for 2006. Thanks for sharing experience! HonL

Dear TM'ians, how is this school? How good/bad is it as compared to UT Austin? I tried to search for the ranking and it's between 150-th to 200-th in US. Is this ranking important in financial aid and future job prospect? I'm an international applicant. Thanks for any reply.

:( Hi everyone else applied UCSD? I just received the "bad news" from UCSD too. So disappointing... But when I went to the online status check, I got the same rejection email, but only followed from clicking the "Certificate of Admission" button. Is this what is expected?

Something really amazed me. University of Texas at Dallas is in the list but not University of Texas Austin? (Sorry, I misunderstood your post.)

To me it sounds like they are still picking up people from a pool of remaining candidates. Maybe I'm wrong. Hey, me too. I feel sad too. I didn't expect to hear from MSU so soon before I hear from schools UT, MIT.... I applied to CS dept. Does it come in as an attachment of a word document? It didn't state the reason, leaving me in suspense. :(

Of course, this is the worst thing that I should expect to happen in my applications. But I've located my 4th recommender, now a young lecturer in UK. Will ask her to send in recommendations to just 3 schools.

Thank you all for you replies and I do appreciate that. I check with a school that rejected me, the letter is actually missing. My worry is more than that, I had some misunderstanding with him 2 years ago. And I worry whether he actually sent off the letters or not!

I'm panicking... I can check my application status for 3 schools. All 3 schools indicate that they haven't received the recommendation letters from Dr XYZ, the other 2 letters are received by the schools. Dr XYZ insisted that he send out the mails himself, so I got no choice... So what should should I do? I have about 3 other schools with later admission deadlines. Should I ask another person to be my forth referee? Thanks for your reply! HonL
