  1. Never got an interview and also rejected from all schools that I applied, except the one that waitlisted me haha. So will wait forever :crushed:
  2. Got rejected by Wharton, Georgia and Berkeley Management, but still haven't heard anything officially from UNC, Cornell, Harvard, NYU, Colorado, Chicago, Washington (either OB or management) except the grad cafe posts regarding interviews. I wonder how people learn that they are not on the shortlist or they are not being considered?
  3. Second rejections of the year - Wharton Management :)
  4. I think I would not help to send e-mails to send follow-up e-mails to the professors and I also think that it's not a common practice to get positive responses from professors (the common practice would be to hear nothing :)) On the other hand, I feel you. I'm quite confused about the interviews, or not interview thing actually. For example, Wharton website states "they do not offer interviews before making decisions, and after they make decisions, they invite people for campus visit". But I also see people posting interviews with the same school (contradictory, kind of.) Some schools, like Haas, states that they do not have a "formal interview policy". Some schools explicitly say that they will invite for interviews. So, my friend, I feel the same confusion and hopelessness you have right now. But I approach this with the following way: - Schools that explicitly stating "no interviews" or "no formal interview policies", I'm still kind of hopeful even though I see Gradcafe posts. When I say hopeful, it is like, "OK, we are not dead yet." - Schools that explicitly states "there would be interviews" and I saw Gradcafe or Urch posts on these schools - those are like we are almost dead. - Schools that say nothing and no interviews posts on Gradcafe, I do not know. There is still hope! Actually, I will have some kind of hope until I get the decision letters of rejections (or offers). :)
  5. Of course, the major is Micro OB / Management.
  6. Ah, refreshing :D I guess it's a good thing to figure out the rejections early than later. But I'm also kind of suspicious that some of the Gradcafe results might be fake.
  7. I wonder something. I see lots of schools went through applications and invited people to interviews, for example, Georgia, Berkeley, North Carolina, Wharton. If we are not one of the invited applicants, does it mean an end for that particular school? Do schools continue interviewing later or they just decide who to admit and then stop there? If they stop, that means, I got rejected from all of the above :)
  8. Hello, I have heard from a friend that she was invited to interview with one of her applied schools and the professor sent her an article and told her that they will chat about it. In your experience, what type of questions do professors can ask during the interview on the assigned paper? Is it like a critique, like "what do you think are the strengths and weaknesses of this paper?" P.S. The field is Organizational Behavior. Best,
  9. Someone in Gradcafe stated that s/he just finished his/her interview with Haas, Management & Organizations (M&O) and their understanding is that M&O department will finish interviewing the shortlisted applicants this week and will send decisions/next steps next week. (e.g. statement is that the interview includes a paper critique and behavioral questions) Isn't it too early for them to be in this stage, even though the application deadline was December 3?
