  1. congratulations pharmjay!!
  2. hi erica1 I worked in riverside county near murrieta. I initially got 24.95 $ per hour for 9 months and then when they applied for my h1-b extension they increased the pay to 31.92 $ per hr. take care
  3. Hi Friends I got my cpje results today and i am happy to add one more smiley to my signature... I cleared the test and awaiting the license. It seems like a dream come true. all the best to all you cpje test takers.
  4. hi i can do it you have to download the form from nabp website. you can also pay online on nabp website when you pay the fees for naplex test. 3 easy steps. 1) go to texas board website apply for ATT online with 50 $ fees. they will ask you to send the documents like copy of your ssn card fpgec certificate etc. 2) once you get your att go to nabp website and register for naplex and score transfer and mpje at the same time. they will give you check boxes for each choice. 75 $ for each state you transfer it to. i paid 475$ +75 $ score transfer to california. you can select the primary state and the states where you are transferring the score to. 3) schedule your test with pearson vue for naplex
  5. hi guys finally i got my cpje result today. cleared it. finally i am a registered pharmacist. thanks for your support
  6. hi pharmjay I am stressed out thinking about the exam results. Just relax and revise as much as you can. Study weissman and try to concentrate on patient counselling points from the point of view of clinical and also LAW part. My cpje test was a mix of both clinical and law. It involved lot of patient counselling questions with law aspect being the focus in some of the questions. It is hard to say that clinical was predominant. As i posted earlier calculations were easy and was like naplex. There were some direct questions on brand generic names, side effects, nothing on dosage in my version of the test. Everyone has different versions as you know. So the result can come out any time ha !!! All the best
  7. Hi kingqueen7 I took naplex with texas as my primary and transferred score to california. I don't have to be licensed in texas since I took naplex from texas board. Since now california state has my naplex score I don't have to take naplex again to be licensed in california. The concept of having a primary state is to apply get ATT with the intention of being licensed in that state and other states. I wanted to get licensed in both texas and california. It can also be viewed as a short cut to finish naplex ASAPwithout having to wait to finish intern hours. In my case I took too much time because I had some other things going on in my life hence I didn't benefit greatly with respect to time. Bottom line is once the naplex score is transferred to "n" number of states, I can take law exam in that state and be licensed there. Of course you need to transfer intern hours to that state as well. I hope this is not very confusing as it sounds.
  8. Hi friends Did anyone get CPJE results ? Anyone who took the test in May or recently in june ? l:luck2:
  9. hi phillypharm Texas board does not offer online results. They usually take 2 weeks to send you the results. I got my result on the 17th day after taking the test. How was your exam ?
  10. Thanks bhani.... I have posted my experience in form of replies to all the questions raised in this thread.
  11. hi coolgoose305 I used the medglyphics.com website to view some mnuemonics for anti infectives and made notes on the table given in apha... For example if you are reading amino glycosides make a short note about those drugs. they are usually parentral drugs...IV drugs. they are used for bowel preparation before surgery. common side effects are ototoxicity(worsens with loop diuretics), neuromuscular side effects (worsens myasthenia gravis) etc. read the major bacteria they act against. mode of action. trough concentration of gentamicin, tobramycin are important to remember. Don't forget to revise. Don't get disheartened. i know it is easy said than done. but believe me if you do lot of questions along with APHA reading then you'll surely get through. don't get distracted by what people say about studying from so many books. Everything comes down to one thing which is how well you can apply what you have studied to the patient profiles. You must have noticed that pharmacology is so vast and volatile. Only way is to remember the major things about the drugs, do questions at the back of each chapter in apha, revise all the chapters atleast once or twice according to your comfort level and memory. Frankly I studied seriously for 1 and half month. First 25 -30 days i just read all the chapters and did all the questions from back of each chapter. i marked the chapters where I scored less marks. Then next 10 days I did 100-150 (4-5 profiles) questions from manan shroff daily just to get some practice on applying the knowledge to the profiles and did my first revision. Then last 5 days i revised the book for the third time paying more attention to chapters where i scored really less.
  12. hi pharmjay thanks for letting me know. I am so tensed....!! how is your preparation going on ?
  13. hi cactus When you did your internship in California how did you take NAPLEX through Texas board, moreover did you take the MPJE in Texas? Ans - I did my internship with CVS pharmacy in southern california and finished my hours last november 2007. Since I had a baby in march it took some time for me to get back to studies. How does this work? Can you elaborate a little on this? Just apply to texas board for ATT for naplex and mpje by paying the fees online. it is 50 $ for texas board and naplex 475 $ online + 75 $ for score transfer per state. You need to have a SSN, FPGEC certificate in order to get approval from texas board now. You can fill out the application for Naplex and Mpje once you get the approval letter from texas board which has a confirmation number for you which is needed to schedule the test with pearson vue. I haven't applied for MPJE yet for Texas. It is not mandatory to take MPJE if you do not wish to be licensed in texas. take care
