Hi Everybody, I have some questions regarding the recos letter. I'm currently working for an IT company. I wonder whether do I need to get a recommendation letter from my immediate supervisor? Becoz, some of the top schools, highly recommend applicants to get one from their immediate supervisor..In that case, I am kinda hesitant what if my supervisor comes to know that I'm gonna leave the company soon..Also, will he be in a good position/mood to give me a strong recommendation letter? Please help me guys. Thanks in advance.

Hi TMs, Thanks a lot for all your help!! I owe a lot to TM..rgt from making frnz to studies..Thanks again!! I think I am the last person to post the admission decisions here for this fall..:)-My application got accepted in 3 schools and rejected in 1 school..I really have'nt yet decided to which school I shld opt for..any help from u frnz are most Welcome!! Here are the schools: Penn state unive, university park(No aid for MS), Lehigh University(without any aid for Ph.D), Syracuse university(50% scholarship for MS)...Please shed your opinions abt these schools for me frnz... I vote for E. Consider this. x = 6, y = 3 2x/y & x/y is an integer but if x = 4.5 & y = 3, 2x/y is an integer but x/y is not What do you guys think?

I think its E. Consider x = -1/4 & y = 2, y^x = 0.84 ( x) x = 5 and y = -3, y^x = -243 ( In both cases, x + y > 0 Am I missing something?

I'm in the process of applying to various schools to do MS in comp sci. Since my quants score is low, I'm debating if I should write it again and apply for next fall? At the same time, I don't want to waste another year. If I get admissions in one of the schools I apply to, should I take it and hope that I get assistantship in the second year or should I improve my score and apply for next year? I'm also thinking about taking courses at penn state - satellite campus or a community college and perhaps transfer credits to the school I choose next year. Is this a good idea? I'd like to hear your suggestions and thoughts... Please advise! Somebdy pl reply me.

Thanks adnan and coolsamurai...I think quans is neither very tuff, nor very easy...I think out of 1250, I got 570 in verbal and the rest frm quans...I am really not satisfied with my score, I might take it again...I am in a dilemma..Please guys shed some light on my prblm...I knw am really not satisfied with my qns score but I wonder whether will i get 570 in verbal again..scared :(

I wish to do master's in CS and follow up with Ph.D..Could smbdy please tell me ..whether with this score I can get into master's atleast.. ----- Back abt test: Test was not that tough, as I imagined...if I could have concentrated more, then everythng would have ended up fine...My first qn in Verbal was "Falter". To me analogies and antonyms were really very easy...Actually, Rc's were always my toughest part...so shld have lost most of them there, I guess.. I wonder whether reversing means for eg: 145 - 541 ? (meaning do we need to reverse the no: as a whole) How come you take 145 into consideration: eg: n = 145 then reversin wud mean 541 (rgt) Smbdy pl clear my doubt
