I was accepted to present my research at an undergraduate-level research conference, but turns out that I cannot stay for the entirety of the conference (I won't be able to be there for the last day which consists only of the awards ceremony), which bars me from potentially earning an award (according to their rules). I've heard from someone that it is not worth attending a conference as an undergraduate unless you're getting an award, but should I still attend this conference? Any thoughts would be appreciated. Thanks!
