Heartiest Congratulation !! I wud prefer to go to Purdue rather than CMU or UCSD ...CMU offers a course that is completely professional oriented and wont add anything if u wanna go for PhD later. Hi People, I am stuck .. Could u please guide me which of the above is better for MS. Though I haven't yet decided abt PhD. but still do take into account that I "might" go for that. I would like to work in the field of Networks, Security OR Database ...Strange though but I haven't decided. UFL is better ranked and wont cost more as ppl do get GA there. Stony Brook has low overall fee structure. So they are almost similar as far as tuition rate goes and even the living expenses are almost equal as they provide oncampus housing in Stony Brook which is equal or less than UFL's offcampus housing. So leave this factor and lets count some other point instead of this. Any help wud be really appreciated. Neha

Thanks a ton for the wishes ppl. Just got a mail from the univ that they are not ofering any kinda aid to MS students. But from what I gathered the tuition at this school is comparatively less. TBUCG --I didnt apply to NCSU :-) Meraj -- U sure that u dont want to go to UFL? Hey Vipin please do let me know aif u come across any info abt this school. Thanks

Hi all, Just received an email from CSE deptt that I am admitted into the MS program and that I will be receiving an admision letter soon. No inf on aid yet.. Does anyone here has any info abt MS in CS at this Univ. ? Do ppl get any aid out there? And the expenses there? Best of luck to u all Neha

NJIT Scholarship -- Still waititng to know the exact amt. They'll let me know by the end of this week. What they said was 'Partial Scholarship'. Donno how much this wud be.. Thanks Awhig, Econ, Ranji, Vogon and Gforce. Awhig- Actually I got an unofficial mail from someone in the CS Deptt. I was sending him mails regularly, asking status of my application. So he just sent me an unofficial reply stating that finally I am accepted as MS student there. And also that they would send an official mail in 1-2 days. May be that form comes with the official admit. Hey Awhig u r for PhD in which field? Not CS, rite? Econ and Vogon I hope that this winning streak continues till I get my most awaited admit and hopefully some kinda aid. I have heard that CS Deptt at UoF is pretty good. Does anyone has any idea abt aid scene there? I am getting this admit w/o any aid. Also how's Florida- as a state? Warm and nice?
