  1. I am still waiting for UCLA. Do you guys think there is still a chance at this point?
  2. I heard back in a week from one project. They sent me a coding assignment and said I have around 2 weeks to do it but I withdrew the application!
  3. Institution: Cornell Program: Economics (PhD) Decision: Accepted Funding: 34k Date: 02/21/2020 Notified through: E-mail Comments: Will attend visit day. I will probably enroll too!
  4. My friend is also experiencing the same thing. My guess is you will be on the waitlist.
  5. Well my Northwestern dream is dead. Anyone know when we should hear from UCLA?
  6. Some guy on GC said that NW is not done yet. NYU probably means rejection. I honestly don't think UCLA has sent out all their offers. On their website they say that they usually admit 100 people each cycle. It is my dream school so I might just be living in denial :(
  7. I just got an email from Cornell. It is from the a generic email from the Graduate School with a PDF file attached. It does state in the PDF file that I will have funding for 5 years though!!
  8. I haven't heard from Cornell neither. I think most of the posts on GC belong to the AEM program. By now I think I'm out of all the top 10 schools. Hope I will get my first acceptance soon.
  9. Yes, I think it is an implicit rejection. My American friend got in.
  10. Just to get away from refreshing GradCafe every 5 minutes, where do you guys think is a good place to study empirical IO? One of my letter writers said Stanford is the best but I got rejected :(
  11. I haven't got anything from Chicago. It looks like they will be done sending out offers and waitlist very soon. Has anyone heard from Penn State yet?
  12. Admissions Timeline | Department of Economics This timeline suggests that decisions are usually out on March 1-15 and I think this has been quite consistent last years.
  13. Same for me. I'm taking fewer (and easier) classes this semester to focus on my undergraduate thesis and RA for my professors but end up spending time worrying about my application and playing TFT
  14. I have recently received my fall grades after submitting all the applications. Unfortunately, I got a B+ for the PhD Microeconomics class. My other grades are fine ( three As in other economics class and an A- in a math class). I have sent the fall grades to some schools which request them but not to some schools which say it is optional. Should I send the grades? I heard that it is a bad signal if I have a B+ for the graduate class but I feel like not sending the grades is also a bad signal. The fact that my other grades are not bad also makes me want to send the grades. Thank you so much for your advice and good luck to everyone who is applying this cycle.
