Try not to put your self-worth into these outcomes. Some parts of your application are impossible to control. Sell yourself the best you can. What would you have done differently? 1. Probably taken more math classes, specifically real analysis. I didn't take it and had to spend a paragraph in my SOP explaining why that was okay. 2. Applied to more schools. 15 felt like a lot but sitting on one acceptance from my safety for the bulk of the process was scary. 3. Not bothered with applying to programs ranked #1; focusing more on the 10s and 20s
  2. Well with the cycle winding down, this was definitely a terrible experience hahaha. Expectations were definitely different from reality, but I think this is good prep for life in academia. Are we anticipating April 15 to be wild with a ton of movement and offers?
  3. duke please send out rejections this is miserable waiting and holding out hope
  4. So is Duke an implicit rejection at this point? GC looks to be 98% international students so I'm wondering if they've made final decisions for Americans.
  5. All the Rochester acceptances seem to be international students - any Americans get accepted into Rochester already?
  6. lol it's like every program I applied to hasn't made decisions yet. this waiting is brutal. Semi-related, does anyone know if the Rochester acceptances are Econ or Finance Econ? I applied for the regular Econ PhD and my portal says under review.
  7. Re: Brown nothing on my end - last year they came out feb 21 so I'm not sure if I believe it
  8. I need to purge this anxiety and no one in my life can relate to the econ admission process.
