  1. A good leader is characterized by their ability to motivate, generate adequate support, and pave the way to an idealistic situation for the entire group. The accomplishment of these attributes becomes problematic sans the respect of the followers. Lack of willingness of followers to carry out a leader's wishes and misjudgments formed due to incorrect or incomplete evaluation of a situation may lead to decisions that may prove fatal to the group. Sound moral judgment does not necessarily affirm good leadership qualities within an individual. It is the respect and support of followers that assert that a person possesses good leadership qualities. Without their support and belief, a leader loses his or her position over them. If the leader does not have his or her follower's respect, it becomes difficult for them to execute their plans and guide their followers. The so mentioned followers may not carry the will to carry out their leader's orders since they lack the motivation and faith needed. A good leader is characterized by their ability to motivate, generate adequate support, and pave the way to an idealistic situation for the entire group. The accomplishment of these attributes becomes problematic sans the respect of the followers. It may also be the case that the agenda and plan of action may not carry as much value as a leader may assess it to carry. Often lack of second opinions may lead to erroneous decisions that impact the group as a whole. It may be due to lack of experience needed for the situation or overlooking of certain nuances. If a leader loses their followers respect, it may point to the case that the leader is unable to reach the mark and must reevaluate their stances. Hence, for a leader to ignore the lack of respect from their followers may prove to be an invitation to misjudgments. Meanwhile, at times an unpopular yet necessary decision may call for its execution even when it lacks public support. At times, the followers are unable to assess the need for the action due probable to lack of experience or herd mentality. These situations call for the leader to overlook the respect aspect and move forward with their decision. In conclusion, a leader's job requires them to go against their follower's wishes when the situation calls for it. Loss of respect may be inevitable. Concluding this analysis, I feel that maintaining the respect for one's followers is vital for the security of a leader's position in the group.
