  1. Hey QwertyPhd, did you interview for Finance track? Haven't seen any updates on GC yet.
  2. Rejected here as well @QwertyPhD. 2 rejections in 2 days. Both from probable safe schools. Nothing on INSEAD out yet. This week there will be more action.
  3. Rejected from TI here as well. I had applied to 17 PhD Finance programs and TI. Was counting on 3 shortlists, one of them is gone. I guess I have rejections lined up owing to my poor grades in freshman and sophomore years in Physics. Have a decent profile thereafter, but the first poor impression seems unbridgeable.
  4. @ginger gold Yes, we can expect until Tuesday, given 26th is when it marks 56 days precisely from the deadline. The wait is excruciating.
  5. Hey, nothing as of now. Applied to HEC and INSEAD. HEC's site mentions that shortlists take around 2-3 weeks from deadline. So they should be out between 19-26 Jan. INSEAD has historically rolled out shortlists in late Jan/early Feb. We need to hold on a bit longer.
  6. Thank you YaSvoboden. Really helpful.
  7. Hey, I got the access as well. Do we need to fill out financial documentation right now? Isn't it something that should come up after we've been extended an offer? Also, they are asking for transcripts to be mailed NOW? Again, strange. They mentioned on the admissions website that it's needed only after offer. Would you have any idea in this regard?
  8. Hi, Can someone please elaborate on what is to be expected in the interviews? I have probed across multiple forums but haven't been able to get something concrete. I do understand that it would involve the basic, "Why PhD", "Why us", "Why now" and some check into the stuff mentioned in CV/SOP. But what bothers me is how deep do they probe us on our research interests? Do we need to read research papers and be able to stay on top of work done thus far? Does it involve answering questions such as "Where would you get the data from? What kind of data? Discuss some paper?" I am an MBA so exposure to research has been limited hence answering above questions would require extensive time to be devoted. Any help in the form of a link or elaborate response from you good Samaritans is appreciated. Happy New Year, and hope we may get the schools that best suit us! PS: PhD in Finance applicant
