Last year there was only one interview per person. Not sure whether things change this year.

They say that they will meet to decide on first wave offers this week. So I guess interviews are all done. But it is still possible for some exceptional candidates to be admitted without interview.

Can still hope for NYU but wouldn't count too much on Columbia.

Can also say that Columbia is still making decisions as well. Should expect a first wave of offers this week or early next week.

I don't think that was mentioned in the email. But they did say it's typical to chat for a few minutes before they make their final decisions.

Yes, I also found the dates for receiving GRE scores and Language Proficiency Test waiver to change to 02/19 as well. I guess that is bad news for at least (and hopefully at most) one of us.

One observation for Brown. The 'date completed' in the application status page changes to 02/19, which probably implies the result will come out very soon.

Judging from the past two years, I'd say not yet. Not all accepted candidates received 'the email'.

Thanks! But I wouldn't be happy too early. I have a friend with a not-so-strong background who also hasn't heard anything. So still fingers crossed!

Depends on what your other options are. Another thing is that current students won't tell you the whole truth if you set up a meeting. Most people are very discreet about talking bad things about their current programs.

UChicago sends out a lot of offers for MAPSS every year. Social science PhD rejects are generally quite likely to be offered admission to MAPSS.
