  1. @MacroFin I'm anxiously waiting as well...
  2. @pinchofdough - I agree that they should have been more transparent about this. I suppose we could have assumed that they would be doing this since the University said that there wouldn't be graduate student funding. Nonetheless, I still applied and am disappointed about this policy, though I didn't receive the "acceptance" email.
  3. I work for a Harvard prof and can confirm what StochasticOLG said
  4. It seems unlikely to me that someone accepted at Harvard would have heard back from 12 places as the poster claims.
  5. What is everyone thinking about Columbia? Were the posts on GC over the past couple of days trolls? Anyone able to confirm them?
  6. Not that it really matters, but I think there were many "fake" Princeton posts this afternoon/evening. All of the ones on GC after the MSU acceptance came in rapid succession with few details or notes. I'm interpreting Princeton as an IR/WL at this point.
  7. Check out the practice data task here at predoc.org. I think the example they give is actually one that was previously used for UChicago predocs. How to Prepare | The University of Chicago Booth School of Business
  8. I've heard Columbia is reducing their cohort a little bit, but they had many students who were admitted last year and deferred. Consequently, the admitted class will probably be quite small.
  9. The Columbia results seem kind of sketchy. It seems odd that there would be one result via email and one via phone so close to each other. It also appears that they haven't given results over the phone in the past
  10. Can anyone confirm UCSD? It seems exceptionally early for them, but they released their first decisions at an odd hour last year as well...
  11. For what it's worth, UChicago said they received 670 applications in their waitlist letter, so that implies they saw only a minimal increase in applications.
  12. I also wouldn't say that I'm doing great (0a/2w/2r/1ir/10p) with one of the waitlist schools being a safety. I have also been striving to have GradCafe free days, but I have yet to succeed with that....
  13. Given that Yale and MIT both sent out results so early, I am hoping that many others will follow shortly (Columbia and Princeton to name a couple). This is probably wishful thinking though...
  14. The Michigan post on GradCafe has to be fake, right?
