As far as I remember from my correspondence with Penn State, they don't have a standard visit day but individualise meetings for each student with faculty and current students once you write to them about your interests etc.
Sure, received an email about two hours ago. Living stipend is about 25k for 5 years with TA/RA duties in years 2-5, additional summer fellowship of 7K for upto fourth summer conditional on satisfactory coursework/TA or RA work.
In the same boat and very worried. On a tangential note how do people generally rank the MECS program relative to other Econ programs? Would it be fair to consider it similar to other T20 programs for instance?
I was wondering if anyone here has had meetings with grad program coordinators or the adcom chair post receiving an acceptance and could share what such a meeting entails? Is it just about the details of the offer?
I know this isn't like an interview but I have my one soon and quite nervous about it for some reason!
I'm holding out the tiniest hope that this year is a bit different from other years due to the joint application which could lead to both departments doing multiple rounds but who knows at this point.
