It's quite strange that USC implies that those who haven't heard from them are on the waitlist. But on gradcafe there are only a few offers posted, without rejections. What does that mean? Maybe it is a super long waitlist and they need more time to decide? ps. It is mentioned on gc that there is no ranking for the waitlist and it's their tradition not to contact those who are on the waitlist.

Then why would they just volunteerly push those applicants with very great profile to another department? I thought they just send rejections because some are overqualified lol.

I've applied to the dual program in NU. Assume that I survive from the first wave motivated by Kellog's needs, but this doesn't gaurantee that I'll be admitted. So what if I got rejected by the econ department later than Kellog's decision time? In that case, I'll not have my application to be considered for admission to Kellog even though I've paid the extra fee. Kind of confused.
