  1. Any updates on the Minnesota waitlist?
  2. Are there people who havebn't heard from Northwestern yet? Is it an IR?
  3. Notified via email and the portal?
  4. I'll just say assign some non-zero probability that your research interests will drastically change in grad school.
  5. I'll also add that being chosen/not chosen doesn't mean much imo. The signal to noise ratio is so insanely low
  6. I'll just say that grad school is far from being the only way to be happy and peaceful in life. I think while applying and being around academia it kinda seems like the ONLY path which fits but that's just not true. Hope you do well, friend
  7. Interviews for Columbia are still on going? Or is it all done?
  8. UCSD - if we haven't gotten a response is it a rejection? Or a waitlist?
  9. Oh I was still hoping for UCLA. Another one bites the dust (maybe)
  10. Wait did I miss this? When did they send out offers?
  11. Amazed at my consistency of nearly a 100% rejection rate with a wait-list being the only one to break my otherwise perfect record
  12. do you know if there are going to be more interviews or waitlists or something?
  13. If you're an undergrad and are getting rejected from these programs I wouldn't take it too hard at all tbh. You have options. Depending on what your profile looks like currently: - in your undergrad did you take mathsey courses? Real analysis? Maybe even some grad level micro or something. If yes, then masters will will add less to your profile than a predoc/RA - did you RA for a professor and is that professor willing to give you a strong letter? If yes then doing another RA ship/predoc may not be that useful. So I would say balance these two objectives out. In the end either won't be a bad choice but masters programs may be expensive.
  14. I wrote to them asking what was up with my application and their response was basically they are still going through the applications and aim to finish their list by end of feb/begining of march. I interpret that as an implicit waitlist.
  15. Was the NYU offer only via email or also on the portal?
  16. Do results come out on the weekends? Someone reported a NU rejection on gc
  17. You only need one acceptance! Keep hope
  18. Is it reflected on the portal?
  19. Either people see enough acceptances + no rejections on GC which raises the chances that you are implicitly rejected. Or you have inside knowledge that a given school has finished sending out all results.
  20. istg idk wtf columbia is doing
