  1. I emailed UCSD and they replied that my chances were low, and that they’d let me know after April 15th. Well it’s now over a week. Yes, I agree it’s extremely unprofessional and unethical tbh. I personally didn’t expect such behavior from NYU especially, but looks like when they have the money and hundreds of people applying to their schools, they think they can do anything without considering that real people are actually applying. The least they can do is just send a rejection email. I mean, how hard can it be! It’s not like they have code anything larger than just changing the names and applicant ID numbers!
  2. Has anyone still not heard anything from NYU? And UW Madison AAE? I mean just some closure would be nice.
  3. Thank you for your response. Painful that they still have not replied but I am hoping for a miracle.
  4. Could really use a response on this one. If, I emailed my waitlisted programs and did not get a response, should I email them today to let them know I would accept their offer? In general, should I let them know, or just wait until tomorrow? Or, does them not knowing whether I will accept or not hurt my chances, in that they either think they are my last hope, or they think that I won’t accept their offer hence no communication? Could someone please answer if they have some insight on this. Thank you!
  5. I emailed them cos I didn’t hear anything either, and their exact words were: « Thank you for reaching out. We are fortunate to receive many qualified candidates, which makes our process extremely competitive. At this point in our process, the likelihood of an offer is low. We have communicated to all our candidates who have either been accepted for admission or are on our waitlist. Our candidates have a deadline of April 15th to accept or decline our offer. After this date, we will have more information on how we will proceed forward. » I guess that’s like a gentle way of rejecting me? I haven’t heard anything from NYU either which tbh doesn’t make sense especially if they plan on rejecting me. Like the least they can do is send a rejection.
  6. Following the above on asking, I contacted one of my waitlisted programs about what position I am on the waitlist, and they have not responded. It’s been two weeks now. Does anyone know what it means ? Should I ask again? Or just assume it’s some form of rejection?
  7. Thank you ScottA! I received my last explicit rejection last night and the remaining two are IR, so I am really hoping I get off the waitlist. I also hope you get the better offer you’re hoping for 🙏🏾
  8. Does anyone on the UMadison AAE waitlist know whether they tell you what position on the waitlist you are? And does anyone know what are the chances of getting off the waitlist? Tbh this is my only visible and best choice, so I am in sooo much panic
  9. For those of us who have not heard anything from UCSD and UVA, do we assume IR?
