but doesn't make sense if they knew you were rejected they would reject you on Friday itself when other rejections were out. Hang in there with the hope, I am too!

It read more general, that we are impressed with your qualifications, but want to know more about what offers you have etc.. It is the same reason why most unis are having interviews as well now.

No, they asked they want to know what my "current situation is and if I have any other offers". A lot of schools are doing that this year to protect yields.
