  11. Hello friend! my comments are in blue and they are strictly what i thought was the write thing to write. In my opinion the claim presented above is true and I agree with the statement thatyou made it sound as if you were reffering to two statements “It is often necessary, even desirable, for politics leaders to withhold information from the public”. In most countries it is very hard for ordinary people to get to know all the details of the events that occur behind the science of the public politics. Even in countries with strong democratic traditions, politicians should do not divulge the information that might hit at the interests of a state and its citizens as well. Recent tragic events that took place during the terrorists’ attack on the World Wide Trade Center give us an example when concealing the veritable truth from the public and substitution it by more beneficial information helped the Americans to overcome the consequences of that act of terrorism. the underlined sentence is not clear enough. The American government, supported by most of the journalists, made up a story that the fourth plane crushed crashedin Pennsylvania had not been brought down by the air-defense fighter. This is an inspirational story saying that it were wasthe passengers on board who sacrificed their lives to prevent the next target from being destroyed. The whole nation was desperately in need of such facts that would show the heroism of ordinary people and infuse others with the sense of patriotism and pride for their country. Some parts of military budget are not supposed to be revealed because they may contain top secret data regarding government expenditure for the creation of weapons based on new technologies. If such strictly confidential information is available for broad massesi think 'made available to the public' will be a better replacement for 'available for broad masses' this if you subscribe to the foregoing replacement, 'this' will also have to be replaced by ' , it ' may undermine the national security and result in economic losses because adversarialnot sure about this word 'adversarial' country or countries will poses possessup-to-date arms without having to invest much intellectual and financial resources in development of that. In our era of global terrorism many countries face the necessity to fight war with the invisible foe. Politicians in some crucial moments must keep valuable information from the public, for instance, as it is in case of hostage taking. Officials should do their utmost of their power to prevent vital data from being leaked out. It is truly desirable for the authorities not to disclose to the media what they are going to do in order to save hostages’ lives because hostage takers might take advantage of it. To conclude, there are cases when political leaders should withhold some information from the public until it can be possible to discuss it publicly without a risk of causing dramatic sequels. It is of interest to people and a state that all aspects of the matter be taken into account before decision to disclose information is made. I took time out of my working hour to make this 'corrections'. i didi not have much time to go through this. but i hope my suggestions will still be of some help. keep up the good work! cheers
  12. Hi, Erin. I think i missused the word 'primary' here. what i meant here is the 'functions' or actions they perform in those particular cases. Of course, the primary funtion of hand is not to make sound. But in this analogy it is meant to produce sound by beating the drum. BTW, what is the meaning of IMO? I love this forum!! bye bye
  13. Anytime, Bhargav. The caps was unintentional. I left the cap key on by mistake. see yeah!

  15. Here i am ANGEL. let's see what we have here. My comments are in blue. 245 International relations can never be completely harmonious because many cultures do not share the same values. I believe that international disharmony is not caused solely by cultural differences between countries. I feel thatyou missed the keyword here: disharmony or disagreement in international relations are caused by a number of other factors such as economy, religion, trade, technological rivalry, territorial disputes, political ideology etc. Though cultural differences might have caused bitterness between two countries, one can never say that it is the only and the root cause. A close look at the international treaties will amply illustrate this. People of all cultures in the world basically aim at the well being of their people. It is a universal urge to protect mankind, which gave rise to institutions like UN, UNICEF, UNESCO, The Red Cross Society etc. One can give a large LONG list of such international organizations which are supported by a large number of countries all over the world, you veered off from your topic sentence:treaties. i think examples of treaties were to be mentioned here. Though these organisations are good examples, they are not related to your topic sentence. (my opinion) have different culture and different religions. The fact that these countries differ culturally has posed no hindrances in the formation and functioning of such institutions. noted above The C.T.B.T. can be viewed as a very good example as to how different countries with varied cultures come together for the common interest of humanity. All the countries agree that a nuclear war will result into total annihilation and it has the potential to wipe out the entire human race from the face of the earth. yeah this sounds like a treaty to me even though i don't know what C.T.B.T means. this will do well if it follows your topic sentence . By keeping in mind the larger interest of mankind, many countries are willing to forget their differences and join their hands together to ban the nuclear weapons. The dispute between India and Pakistan is a glaring example that how cultural differences do not matter at all first, if you have to use the underlined sentence, i think you should rephrase it. Second, the underlined sentence contradicted this assertion : Though cultural differences might have caused bitterness between two countries, one can never say that it is the only and the root cause. don't you think so?. India and Pakistan are not much different culturally but they are different. Both the countries share the same history, same ancestors. Pakistan has a considerable Hindu population and India too has a very large Muslim population. But in spite of so many cultural similarities, both the countries have been in war for 50 years. One can even cite the example of North Korea and South Korea. Despite having similar culture, the differences in political ideologies have triggered a bitter rivalry between the two nations. The whole world is familiar with the cultural rivalry between England and France. But both the countries kept their differences aside to bring the common currency Euro for the European nations good point. Thus i am not sure of thid word herewe can cite a number of examples as to how the cultural differences really do not matter. Having had a good look at the cultural differences let us discuss some other factors that play a role in causing disharmony between countries. Economic imbalance can also become a reason of for hatred among two countries. For instance, the third world countries have always been complaining that the developed countries exploit them by taking cheap labor from them. Even in U.N., whenever any controversial matter is brought up, there is some pressure from the developed countries. Thus economic imbalance can cause some bitterness. i am not sure of the soundness of this point. You are to show how economic imbalance causes disharmony among nations. For instance, what is the effect of this exploitation and pressure from developed world on international relations? Apart from economic factors, territorial disputes have triggered quite a few wars. The Indo-Pak war and the Indo-China war are examples of this. Iraq and Kuwait have been involved in the Gulf war for territorial reasons. i think this should do.precisely the reason of territorial disputes. Bitter rivalry between Israel and Palestine originally started off as dispute over land. But certain religious or cultural fractions factions? supported a particular county country and hence this territorial dispute eventually took the form as if it had been caused due to cultural differences. i think your points or examples should be linked to international relations either negatively or positively but i think you'll prefer the negative part. You merely mentioned your points. Technological rivalry is another major cause for conflict. U.S. and U.S.S.R. have been the super powers and the rivalry between them is a reflection of their struggle to reach above each other in the space research. If i were to write this sentence i'll rephrase it like this: For example, the rivalry between the two super powers-U.S and U.S.S.R- is a reflection of their struggle for leadership in space research. Similarly, the arms race or the nuclear race has also contributed to the conflicts between different nations. Again, how? Thus, we have seen that international relations can be disharmonious due to a number of reasons. Cultural differences is necessarily not the reason for disharmony. Generally, your vocab is okay save for some mistakes here and there. You cited good examples but somehow failed to mention how it affects international relations. This is my little contribution. Hope it goes well. BTW, what does C.T.B.T means? NOTE: THESE ARE STRICTLY MY OPINION. I HOPE I WAS ABLE TO SEE WHAT YOU COULDN'T SEE. KEEP UP THE GOOD WORK, MEGA. SOMETIME, SOMEDAY WE WILL GET THERE!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! I WILL DEFINITELY SEE YOU ON THE OTHER SIDE. TAKE CARE!
  16. Hi mega_the_angel, Thanks a trillion!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! WOW! THIS IS BRILLIANT you've practically written the essay for me. Yes, you are right about paragraphs 4,5 and 6. It does not matter what brought about the increment or the reduction, the bottom line is there was an increase or decrease. This is very good! all we need do is to refute the argument that it is nutritional. And that was what you guys did above. your last point about feeding Kiran to cats or dogs is good but i found it funny too! Thank your friends for me. Looking forward to reading your suggestions. Thank you FRIEND. BTW, are your friends Tmagicians?
  17. thanks Erin. got yeah. thanks Ro. catch yeah. lateeeeeeeeeeeeeeeer
  18. OF COURSE YOU ARE RIGHT, THE ANSWER IS D. I THINK THE ANSWER LIES IN THE FUNCTIONS OF THESE 'TOOLS' FOR INSTANCE: KNOCKER IS PRIMARILY USED ON DOORS TO PRODUCE 'SOUND' HAND IS ALSO USED ON DRUM TO PRODUCE SOUND, THAT IS ITS PRIMARY FUNCTION.. SAME WITH GAVEL ON LECTERN STICK AND GONG ARE NOT CLOSE. NOW THE ANSWER D: HAMMER IS USED ON ANVIL NOT TO PRODUCE SOUND BUT TO BEND OR STRAIGHTEN AN OBJECT. PESTLE IS USED ON MORTA NOT TO PRODUCE SOUND BUT TO GRIND AN OBJECT. IN THESE TWO CASES AN OBJECT IS INVOLVED WHEREAS IN THE OTHER NO OBJECT IS INVOLVED. CATCH? BYE BYE
  19. it is still a nice score. CONGRATULATIONS!!!!! Please, ANYBODY, what is the highest SCORE one can get in GRE? thanks
