Hi there ...Well i am taking a shot at this topic .. this is my first time ..I would be extremely happy if someone points out my mistakes Television, newspapers, magazines, and other media pay too much attention to the personal lives of famous people such as public figures and celebrities. Use specific reasons and details to explain your opinion. -------------------------------------------------------------------- In this era of Information technology,the T.V , newspaper, and magazines collectively known as the 4th estate have now beome an integral part of our lives.the day does not start without reading the newspaper and our T.V has become a necessity more than a need. It is very difficult for to find a home where there is no T.V. Here the readers of newspapers and magazines and the viewers of T.V have a plenty of choice given to him/her. Hence for the T.V channels and newspapers, magazines to be in business, they should have a huge audience, which will intuen bring lots of advertisements, and inturn generate revenue.So inorder to be in this business, the print and visual media should know what kind of news gets their attention.A majority of readers might find it interesting to read about their favourite movie stars, and This also presents an opportunity for the celebrities and other famous people to communicate to the masses. The celebrities might take this opportunity to spead the message of peace and also might caution the masses about the spread of AIDS. They can also spread public message which would be benificial to the masses. Important people could make important announcements in T.V, and this ensures that he is been heard. During times of earthquake , or other natural forms of calamities,the important leaders could calm the people through T.V and newspapers. Hence this has both its advantages and pitfalls the advantages other than that mentioned above could be , the celebrity could give his/her opinion and views. the more the perticular celebrity makes himself accountable , the more closer he get to the masses. Goverment officials could also be more accountable to the messes throught T.V , newspapers. the pitfalls are, the T.V and magazines may provide fales and incorrect news about a perticular celebrity, they may spoil the celebrity's privacy, by writing about his personal lifestyle. the T.V might create a false opinion about a perticluar celebrity. Hence in my opinion i feel that its ok for the T.V , Papers and magazines to write about the celebrities as long as they don't envade their privacy

Singapore is a country which has a rich cultural heritage,one of the best maintained zoos in southeast asia, people who are friendly and warm, It also has a lot of historical sites, which remainds us of the British Legacy, Apart from all this, Singapore is also one of the safest countries in the world and is well connected. One of the first things which catches the visitors attention is that the city is very clean.The city has well developed facilities like good resturants and fast and cheap modes of transportation. The culture of singapore is a fusion of many different cultures, we have indian , chinese, malayas living in harmony. One of the most prominant landmark of singapore is the lion like fountain, One of the main reasons why i like to visit singapore is that the name singapore is a combination of two words Singa mans Lion in my native language which is tamil, and pore means city and tamil is widely spoken and is one of the national languages of Singapore.I also feel that singapore is part my culture. There are a lot of tamil fastivals that are celebrated in singapore like "pongal" and "thi poosam". Apart from all this , Singapore also has one of the best aqua Zoos. These zoos really takes us on a journey to the marine Kingdom and are one of the best maintained zoos in the world. Hence if i were given a chance, I will visit Singapore and i think it will be a very rich and fantastic experience.

Hi People ...this is the first time i am going to write an essay.. i have not done any preparations and i am just giving a try.. Erin or anyone else.. please do evaluate my essay and list out the mistakes --------------------------------------------------------------------- Some people prefer to stay on one place their entire life while others like me prefer to move to new places in search of greener pastures. Migration to new places has been happening across many cultures and countries for a long time. For example in India , many people have migrated from villages to cities in search of work and good life. In Europe, during the industrial period may people had moved from villages to industrial townships, where they can find work and earn more money. In China , once the economy started opening up to foreign investors, many people started to migrate from village to cities which were developing industries and other building new houses. My dad being in the Indian Airforce had posting to many different places and i got to see a lot of people and learned a lot of things from these new places. In my opinion when a student moves to new place to study in the college of his choice, I would not consider that as a change but rather an chance for him to improve his career prospect.A worker or any other skilled person might migrate to a new place where he could apply his skills and talents and inturn rise his standard of living. Migrating to new places and making changes to ones life has it own advantages and pitfalls. The Advantages being, He can earn more than what he used to, He can lead a better life, get to interact with other people,provide his son/daughter with better educational opportunities which may not have been available in his previous place he stayed. the pitfalls being, Loss of ones cultural identity, May be away from his or her parents,the alterations in his lifestyle might affect his /her health. In my opinion i strongly feel that changes that occur , when he moves to a new place or moves to a new job is a must to ones life, if he / she plans to lead a better and happy life.
