  4. I get D 11 they told you that they are 12 consecutive numbers and the least integer is -4 so K: -4 -3 -2 -1 0 1 2 3 4 5 6 7 Range = 7--4=7+4=11

Thank you so much for the debrief,and congrats on such a great score, I was sure that u will manage to get a very good score :) I am like u, my second language is english and I had a very low score on Verbal (23!!) although, the first time i took the test (with ETS), my strength was the verbal and weakness was math, now it's all the way round, which I also blame myself for, I thought as I am very good in english and scored high in powerprep, then I shouldn't concentrate alot on verbal!!! I ran out of Idea how to improve my score and the university I applied to asked me to tzke the GMAT again as their average increased 75 points!!! (from 550 to 625!)
  7. Great Score, Stanforn doesn't require a minimum GMAT score, so u probably have a chance there! Good luck :)
  8. wow can anyone confirm if taking the GMAT outside the US is better? I mean is it really easier,I am in Jordan Now and if this is the case,I might think about retaking it here!
  9. wy did u guys assume that each month had a bill of x? I mean how did u know they were all equal apart from aprils? and I agree 4x more than the others means 5x not 4x

  16. Hey all, I have thought a lot before starting this thread, but then after thinking, I decided I probably should share this with everyone else. Last June (2005), I took my BA and thought of applying to a few MBA programs in the US, but as an American citizen born in Missouri and raised in Jordan (the middle east), I thought it would be better to apply to a state University in Missouri to benefit from the residency and pay less for my masters' degree. So,thats when I applied for University of Missouri,Columbia. My undergraduate GPA is an A I was ranked 4th among all 84 graduates of Business adm. for the academic year 2004/2005 from a Jordanian University. I speak 3 languages and I am considered fluent in all three languages, I had so many involvements, some in Governmental delegations and some in exchange programs...Anyway,this isn't a thread to talk about myself,it's just that, thinking of all the qualities I thought would help me get an admission, I was WRONG! UMC asked for GMAT just like any other University, when they first told me they need the GMAT, I thought to myself I'll take the practice test that is on Mba.com (it wasn't called GMATprep yet), and i'll be fine. So I took the practice test a couple of times and set for the exam on june 14th 2005, I had to leave home at 6 am because I lived 2 hours away from the closest and the ONLY testing center in Jordan! Anyway, as I said before I didn't even know we have to study for such exams, so I took the exam and scored 390!! The University's response was that I need to take the GMAt again and get a high score to get admitted, as my score was very low, That's when everything took a turn to the worse , I felt like the GMAT is gonna be the reason behind my failure, I thought of it as a CAT exam that will destroy my future and everything I dreamt of, I thought I will not be able to score high in the exam no matter what I do! I ordered Kaplan and Princeton review and studied on them, I also took lots and lots of practice tests 800score, kaplan, PR& Powerpre), I thought I was ready, so I set the exam here in Columbia,MO on April 3rd. On April 3rd I went to take the exam, I nearly fainted , I was horrified, my hands were shaking so bad that I couldn't type right, anyway, I also forgot everything I studied for I even forgot the most basic things like the Area of the triangle!!! that's when I decided I am gonna end the exam and head home. I cried all day long after it and thought of giving up on everything and forgetting all about the MBA degree. I thought of trying one more time after all the encouragement I got from my parents, so I bought the OG11, and started studying on it, and solving problems here in the forums, I felt that I am improving. Today, I took the GMAT for the third time, I was so calm, cuz I knew if I was stressed I would mess up badly. the AWA was interesting and I enjoyed it. then came the Quantitative,wich I honestly found relatively easy,I managed to solve most of the questions but my only problem was time, I ran out of time on the last 5 questions which I know I could have solved if I had the time to! Then came the verbal section, which was horrible,I knew I wasn't doing well at all, and I also missed the last 15 questions I had to guess them cuz I spent so much time on the RC!! Anyway I got the result and even though it wasn't high,I was happy, cuz I knew I can do it and the GMAT isn't as scary as I think it is, with practice everything becomes easier... my total score was 510 (from 390 in 2005 to 510 today) (Q40 and Verbal 22!!!) I guess I concentrated so much on studying for the Quantitative section and ignored the Verbal section! IF and on IF the University wasn't satisfied with this score,knowing that I am a non graduate degree student there and I started taking classes) I will know the next time I will take the GMAT i will do alot better than today. but as far as I am concerned, I am so happy and proud of what I did, I was horrible in math and thanks to you all and to OG I managed to overcome this obstacle :) Thank you Everyone :) And Good luck :)

  21. is it A? I dunno how to eplain it,if A is the right answer then Ill leave the expl. for sm1 who knows better than I do,cuz I suck in math :">
