  1. Hello everybody, I just took my GRE yesterday. I got 550 on verbal and 700 on math. The score pretty much falls into the range that I would get if I test myself at home. I think I can improve my math a bit, but I am kind of frustrated with verbal because I don't know what I could have done differently to increase my verbal score. I have been practicing problems and memorizing vocab. I just don't know what else I could do for the next couple months till January. I plan to take it again at the end of January. Meanwhile, I still have classes. BTW, I have been preparing for GRE since the end of May. So it's been a while. Although I did a lot better since, I feel that I still need to improve my verbal at least to 600s range. Anyhow, please tell me what I can do differently for the next couple months before January. I want to get more than an average score. Good luck for those who are taking the exam soon. Katrina

  3. Hello Aika, this is a very good advice. I think I will be doing both at the same time. Good that you still have 5 months. Good luck. violet10o9
  4. Thank you all for replying. I can easily memorize vocab in the morning. So I make that as a routine. I will definitely read outside material. MsDemeanor, can you recommend some of your favorite classic literature? I plan to read The World Is Flat by Friedman. I really want to read something that I am interested in while I try to learn new vocab. Thanks. violet10o9
  5. Hello everyone, I am new to this forum. It is wonderful that this forum has provided me with information that I would have not obtain otherwise. I plan to take GRE at the end of august 2005.
